Another TTM Success From Joe Borchard

My friend Ryan sent me a couple older Bowman cards of Joe Borchard that I sent out TTM. They came back signed not too long after. I like this 2003 Bowman. I get them mixed up with 2001, since the designs are so similar (and 2004, too).
I also got this 2002 Bowman signed, and it also looks nice. I'm really glad Ryan sent me these older Bowmans that I didn't have in my boxes.

I mailed to Borchard on March 2 and got the cards back on March 12, for a 10-day TAT.

TTM Success - Matt Parker

This 2002 Bowman that I got signed TTM by Matt Parker was another from the batch of early 2000s Bowmans that Ryan sent me. I used those cards after this season to give me a bunch of guys to send to, and hope for some good returns. I do enjoy getting older. Bowmans signed, especially guys I've never heard of.

Parker (b. 1978) was a 31st round pick by the Cardinals in the 1999 June Amateur Draft out of Mercer. He played in the minors from 1999 to 2004 in the Cardinals, Brewers and Devil Rays systems, reaching AAA (Durham, actually).

He had a record of 35-31 with 472 strike outs and a 3.86 ERA. I mailed to Parker on December 24 and got the card back on January 8, for a 15-day TAT.

TTM Success - Scotty Layfield

Another early 2000s Bowman that Ryan sent me came back signed TTM recently. This 2002 Bowman of Scotty Layfield turned out well. I like the 2002 Bowman design; it os easy to recognize, unlike some of the other early 2000s Bowman designs, which all look similar.

Layfield (b. 1976) was a 20th round pick by the Cardinals in the 1999 June Amateur Draft out of Valdosta State University. He played in the minors from 1999 to 2003 in the Cardinals system, reaching AAA. He had a record of 11-15 with 222 strike outs and a 3.23 ERA.

I mailed to Layfield on December 12 and got the card back on January 3, for a 22-day TAT.

TTM Success - Dan Cevette

This was another card that came in the stack that Ryan sent me a while back.  Dan Cevette was signing, so the card got sent out.  The signature got smeared, probably because the card was put back into the envelope still wet.

Cevette (b. 1983) was a third round pick by the Indians in the 2002 June Amateur Draft out of Elkland High School in Pennsylvania. He played in the minors from 2002 to 2009 and 2013 in the Indians, Royals and Pirates systems. The highest level he reached was AAA.  Because he was in the Indians system, I checked, and he played in Kinston in 2007 and 2008.  Overall in the minors, he had a record of 20-19 with 346 strike outs and a 3.79 ERA.

I mailed to Cevette on July 17 and got the card back on August 11 for a 25-day TAT.

TTM Success - Joey Hammond

Here is a nice 2002 Bowman that I got from Ryan that I got signed TTM by former Orioles farmhand, Joey Hammond.  Ryan sent me a bunch of 2002-2005 Bowman cards to try TTM since I commented that I didn't have many cards from that era.  I had never heard of Hammond, so i was excited to get the card back and look into how hos career played out.

Hammond (b. 1977) was a 25th round pick by the Orioles in the 1998 June Amateur Draft out of UNC. He played in the minors from 1998 to 2008 in the Orioles and Phillies systems.  He would reach AAA prior to hanging it up.

He had 1,144 hits, 36 home runs and a .274 batting average across 11 seasons in the minors.

I mailed to Hammond on January 22 and got the card back on January 29 for a 7-day TAT.

TTM Success - Adam Donachie

Adam Donachie is a guy who I remember was in the Orioles system a while ago.  I found one of his cards in a box recently, and was curious to see if he signed TTM.  He hadn't signed in years, so I worked my magic in finding an address, and it turned out to be a good one.  I included the 2002 Bowman shown below, and Donachie was nice enough to send me the above 2002 Upper Deck that he signed, and also an unsigned Somerset Patriots team set card (not shown).
Donachie (b. 1984) was a 2nd round pick in the 2002 June Amateur Draft by the Royals out of Timber Creek High School in Florida.  He played in the minors from 2002 to 2011 in the Royals and Orioles systems.  He reached as high as AAA.  He finished his career playing in independent ball from 2012 to 2015 and 2017.

In his minors career, Donachie had 501 hits, 50 home runs and a .225 batting average.

I mailed to Donachie on November 23 and got the cards back on December 2, for a 9-day TAT.  This is the first time in forever that I have been able to blog TTMs within the same month in which I received them.  I'm getting caught up, which is kind of weird.

TTM Success - Larry Broadway

I got a couple 2002 Bowmans out of one of the bulk boxes I got from my former LCS and had them signed TTM by Larry Broadway.  2002 Bowman was a nice set; I like the stripes.  They also look really nice when signed.
Broadway (b. 1980) was a third round pick in the 2002 June Amateur Draft by the Expos out of Duke University.  He played in the minors from 2002 to 2009 in the Expos, Nationals and Pirates systems.  He reached as high as AAA and amassed 749 hits, 104 home runs and a .273 batting average.

I mailed to Broadway on November 16 and got the cards back on December 5, for a 21-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Tim Raines, Jr.

With all of the time I've had on my hands lately from the COVID crap, I have been cleaning out some card boxes and been more aggressive in sending out TTM requests.  Some of the players, I have sent to in the past, but I still had some decent cards remaining, so I have gone to the well again for some more autographs.  Tim Raines, Jr. is one of those players.

I had picked up some of Raines's cards because I thought I would see him while he was coaching Aberdeen.  I never got there, and he isn't coaching there anymore.
I had also picked up these various Bowmans.  They all turned out really well when signed.

I mailed to Raines on April 27 and got the cards back on May 11, for a 14-day TAT.

TTM Success - Kevin Mench

Here are some really cool cards that I was able to get signed for my album recently.  I had a whole bunch of Kevin Mench cards to choose from, but I didn't want to send too many.  So, I narrowed it down to the above 2008 Topps Heritage and the cards below.

I love the 1959 Topps design, and the card really turned out well, even with the near-dead Sharpie that Mench used.
He also signed a 2003 Topps, 2004 Topps and a 2002 Bowman.

Mench (b. 1978) played in the majors from 2002 to 2008 and 2010 for the Rangers, Brewers, Blue Jays and Nationals.  He had 632 hits, 89 home runs and a .268 batting average.

I mailed to Mench on February 19 and got the cards back on February 28, for a 9-day TAT.

TTM Success - Tike Redman

These two cards from Tike Redman turned out really well, I think.  I saw that he was signing TTM, and picked the above 2002 Bowman up from my LCS.
This 2004 Topps was in one of the sets I picked up from the LCS that he was just going to throw out.  I'm glad I got it, because I have been able to add some more 2004s to my autograph album.

Redman (b. 1977) played in the majors from 2000 to 2001, 2003 to 2005 and 2007 for the Pirates and Orioles.  He had 385 hits, 17 home runs and a .281 batting average.

I mailed to Redman on January 15 and got the cards back on January 27, for a 12-day TAT.

TTM Success - Drew Henson

While I was at the LCS recently, I found some boxes of rookie cards from the early 2000s that I searched in order to find some guys who signed TTM.  One of those was former Yankee, Drew Henson.  I found several nice cards, and they turned out really well when I got them signed.
I liked the 2002 Bowman.  It was the thicker version, but the card was damaged when it got back to me.  Probably from when the envelope was processed at USPS.

Henson (b. 1980) played in the majors in 2002 and 2003 for the Yankees.  He had 1 hit, no home runs and a .111 batting average.

He was also a quarterback for the Dallas Cowboys in 2002 and also the Lions in 2008.  He played in 9 games (1 start) and threw for 98 yards and one touchdown.

I mailed to Henson on January 7 and got the cards back on January 19, for a 12-day TAT.
