TTM Success - Lee Grant

Here is another pair of signed cards from a celebrity, to mix things up a bit. I was looking up older Academy Award winners and happened to see that Lee Grant signed TTM fairly regularly. I didn't have anything that would tie into any of her well known roles, so I sent this 2020 Allen and Ginter Steinway Tower card. I like these oddball Ginter sets, and this one of skyscrapers looks nice signed.
I also sent her a 1987 Topps checklist so I could add another celebrity to my checklist page in my album. That's the only reason I sent it; another name on the list.

Grant (b. 1925) won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1975 for her role in Shampoo. She was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for roles in Detective Story, The Landlord and Voyage of the Damned. I could have sworn that I read that she won for In the Heat of the Night, but i was way wrong. She did appear in that movie, and also Valley of the Dolls.

I mailed to Grant on August 31 and got the cards back on September 11, for an 11-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Miguel Tejada

Miguel Tejada was the subject of another private signing that I took part in recently. I had gotten him before, but had put aside a few nice cards that I wanted to add to the autograph album. The above 2006 Fleer Lumber Company turned out great.
The blue background of this 2005 Bowman Heritage really pops, and the signature is a nice compliment. I was glad that I found this card in my Orioles box and could send it out for signature.

I mailed to the signing on March 7 and got the cards back on September 9, for a 186-day TAT. I paid a total of $68.00.

Another TTM Success From Terry Adams

Almost 10 years ago, I received a TTM success from former pitcher, Terry Adams. That was November 2016. Fast forward to 2026, I foubd the above 2002 Topps Chrome refractor of Adams at the National in a bargain bin. I added it to my pile and brought it back with me to send TTM.
I got home and looked through the 2003 and 2004 Topps partial sets that I habe and pulled his cards from there to send, as well. I was glad to get a couple more cards out of those boxes and send them along.

I mailed to Adams on August 14 and got the cards back on September 8, for a 25-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Khris Davis

Another private signing I was interested in came up; another opportunity to get a few cards I liked signed by Khris Davis. I had the above 2019 Topps On-Demand Black & White put aside for the next signing I saw. I don't know where I found this card, but I liked it and had to add it to the album.
I also sent this 2019 Donruss Optic Action All Stars along. Anither cool card that looks great in the album.

I have a special drawer in a cabinet for cards that I really want to get signed, and I pull from there for most of the private signings that I see. I can't wait to continue to chip away at that stack.

I mailed to the signing on June 22 and got the cards back on September 8, for a 78-day TAT. I paid a fee of $36.00.

TTM Success - Alexander Muren

A couple more cards that I found in the bargain bin at the National got signed TTM and added to the autograph album recently. Here are two 2012 Bowman card signed by Alexander Muren.
He signed a blue parallel and a chrome refractor. Both look great.

Muren (b. 1991) was a 12th round pick by the Twins in the 2012 June Amateur Draft out of Cal State Northridge. He played in the minors from 2012 to 2015 and 2017 in the Twins system, reaching AA. He had a record of 20-10 with 207 strike outs and a 2.68 ERA.

I mailed to Muren on August 12 and got the cards back on September 5 for a 24-day TAT.

TTM Success - Joe Theismann

While going through the boxes at the National, this 2024 Topps Chrome football card of Joe Theismann really stood out. I knew he signed TTM, so it was an easy choice to pick the card up. I was glad I did, because the card looks great.

Theismann (b. 1949) played professionally from 1974 to 1985 for the Redskins. He threw for 25,206 yards and 160 touchdowns. He was the 1983 AP NFL MVP, AP Offensive Player of the Year. He won Super Bowl XVII with the Redskins on January 30, 1983. The Redskins beat the Dolphins 27-17.

I mailed to Theismann on August 10 and got the card back on August 29, for a 19-day TAT. I paid his fee of $10.00.

Another TTM Success From Derin McMains

When I found and pulled this card at the National, I had already forgotten that I got Derin McMains TTM back in 2024. I pulled this 2007 Bowman blue parallel and added it to my pile.
I got home and searched my 2007 box and found this 2007 Bowman Chrome. I could have saved myself some time had I searched here and saw that I already had gotten a 2007 Bowman Chrome signed during that initial TTM submittal. Oh well. Of course, I pulled a few other guys during that pass through the box.

I mailed to McMains on August 13 and got the cards back on August 28, for a 15-day TAT.

TTM Success - Chuck Tiffany

Yet another card that I picked up at the National came back signed TTM. This is a 2005 Bowman Heritage Blue Backs insert of Chuck Tiffany. I found it in one of the boxes at the show and figured I'd give it a shot to try him TTM. It came back looking great.

Tiffany (b. 1985) was a second round pick by the Dodgers in the 2003 June Amateur Draft out of Charter Oak High School in California. He played in the minors from 2003 to 2006 and 2008 in the Dodgers and Rays systems. He would reach AA before spending a few seasons in the independent leagues. He had a record of 17-13 with 322 strike outs and a 4.00 ERA.

I mailed to Tiffany on August 12 and got the card back on August 27, for a 15-day TAT.

TTM Success - Ryan Cameron

Another card I found at the National was this 2003 UD Sweet Spot of Ryan Cameron. I thought it was a pretty cool card and saw that Cameron signed TTM. The card looks great.

Cameron (b. 1977) was an 11th round pick by the Rockies in the 1998 June Amateur Draft out of the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He played in the minors from 1998 to 2007 in the Rockies, Red Sox and Phillies systems. He wound up reaching AAA. He had a record of 48-51 with 886 strike outs and a 3.98 ERA.

I mailed to Cameron on August 4 and got the card back on August 25, for an 11-day TAT.

TTM Success - Taylor Harbin

Another card that I picked up at the National came back signed TTM by Taylor Harbin. He signed this 2009 Bowman Chrome x fractor. His autograph looks different from the facsimile auto on the card from 17 years ago.

Harbin (b. 1986) was an 8th round pick by the Diamondbacks in the 2007 June Amateur Draft out of Clemson. He played in the minors from 2007 to 2014 in the Marlins and Diamondbacks systems, reaching AAA. He had 849 hits, 60 home runs and a .266 batting average.

I mailed to Harbin on August 13 and got the card back on August 24, for an 11-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Don Kessinger

This 1969 Topps Deckle Edge card of Don Kessinger is another card that ai picked up at this year's National. I saw it and knew I could get it signed, so I added it to my pile.

I spent more time sitting at one table (because they had chairs) looking through their bargain bins that I did looking at showcases.

I mailed to Kessinger on August 5 and got the card back on August 22, for a 17-day TAT.

TTM Success - Rod Henderson

Here is a cool 1994 Bowmans Best card that I found in. A bargain box at the National this year. I found a bunch of cool cards at the show to try and send out TTM. This one was the first to come back, from Rod Henderson. The card looks really cool, and turned out great.

Henderson (b. 1971) played in the majors in 1994 and 1998 for the Expos and Brewers. He had a record of 0-1 with 4 strike outs and a 9.58 ERA.

I mailed to Henderson on August 10 and got the card back on August 22, for a 12-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Ryan Pepiot

This 2022 Topps Holiday insert of Ryan Pepiot was sitting around in my box for a while. I found it after I had gotten Pepiot TTM back in 2023, misplaced it when I sent to him at Spring Training in 2025, then found it again. So, it is finally signed. It's a cool parallel, even though it is hard to see his signature.

He has been on the IL all season. Maybe he will rehab in Durham next year, once the lockout ends.

I mailed to Pepiot on July 18 and got the card back on August 18, for a 31-day TAT.

TTM Success - Mel Behney

Here are a couple vintage Topps cards that came back signed TTM from Mel Behney. I had him sign both of his rookie cards, a 1972 Topps and a 1973 Topps.
Behney (b. 1947) played in the majors in 1970 for the Reds. He had a record of 0-2 with 2 strike outs and a 4.50 ERA.

I mailed to Behney on July 18 and got the cards back on July 31, for a 13-day TAT.

TTM Success - Addison Russell

My friend Jackson T told me about an Addison Russell signing he was handling, so I dug out this nice 2018 Topps Chrome pink refractor and sent it along. The card turned out awesome. I was glad Jackson did the signing because I had located this card after Max had taken some Russells for me not too long before this. I definitely would have sent this along sooner. It all worked out, and the card is now in the album.

I mailed to the signing on April 9 and got the card back on July 20, for a 102-day TAT. Thanks for another great signing opportunity, Jackson.

TTM Success - Bengie Molina

This was a TTM success I was pretty excited about. Although, a cool card I sent wasn't returned, I'm still happy that I got these two back from Bengie Molina. He kept my reloc card that I sent, but did sign the above 2006 Topps and the 2007 Topps below.
I know how TTM works. Never send something you're afraid to lose. While I hate that the card didn't come back, it was a relic card that I had set out in my display case a long time ago at some card shows. I kept seeing it in my boxes when passing through them. So, if I couldn't get it back for myself, my hope is Molina kept it for himself or his kids. Who knows.

Molina (b. 1974) played in the majors from 1998 to 2010 for the Angels, Blue Jays, Giants and Rangers. He had 1,317 hits, 144 home runs and a .274 batting average. He was a two-time Gold Glove Award winner (2002 and 2003). Surprisingly, he was never an All Star. He won the World Series in 2002 with the Angels.

I mailed to Molina on June 22 and got the cards back on July 17, for a 25-day TAT.

TTM Success - Dave Rosello

Dave Rosello signed this card for me TTM; it came back from him on July 16. On September 30, he passed away at the age of 76.

When I got the card back, I was excited because it took almost two years for me to get it. The "signature" appears to be a stamp, and health reasons could explain why. I'm still counting it as a TTM success. It's not like I'm going to sell it.

Rosello (b. 1950 - d. 2026) played in the majors from 1972 to 1977 and 1979 to 1981 for the Cubs and Indians. He had 206 hits, 10 home runs and a .236 batting average.

I mailed to Rosello on September 4, 2024, and got the card back on July 16, 2026, for a 680-day TAT.

TTM Success - Tim Beckham

A private signing that I had been waiting a while for came along through a friend on Facebook. I had tried getting this 2018 Bowman Chrome gold refractor of Tim Beckham signed in person a couple times. Beckham isn't the easiest guy to get (ask my buddies Jackson and Dugan). I finally sas the private signing and went ahead and sent this card along. It turned out great.

Beckham (b. 1990) played in the majors in 2013, from 2015 to 2019 and 2022 for the Rays, Orioles, Mariners and Twins. He had 404 hits, 63 home runs and a .246 batting average.

I mailed to the signing on May 29 and got the card back on July 12, for a 44-day TAT. I paid a fee of $15.00.

Another TTM Success From Jeff Conine

1993 Upper Deck has some nice cards, many of them the team checklists. I finally completed the 1993 Upper Deck Florida Marlins Inaugural Catch card. Jeff Conine was the last player that I needed. I started with a Bret Barberie private signing in 2024. I added Orestes Destrade and Dave Magadan afterward. It came down to Conine, and a private signing on SCN finished the job.

I mailed to the signing on May 20 and got the card back on July 12, for a 53-day TAT. I paid a fee of $15.00.

TTM Success - Ian Bladergroen

A nice 2005 Topps came back signed TTM from Ian Bladergroen. The card turned out well. I don't have many 2005 Topps anymore, so adding one was pretty nice.

Bladergroen (b. 1983) was a 44th round pick by the Mets in the 2002 June Amateur Draft out of Lamar Community College in Lamar, Colorado. He played in the minors from 2003 to 2006 in the Mets system and in 2009 in the Mariners system. He reached high A. He had 415 hits, 44 home runs and a .272 batting average.

I mailed to Bladergroen on Match 13, 2024, and got the card back on June 24, 2026, for an 833-day TAT.

TTM Success - Paul DeJong

A really nice 2020 Topps Chrome blue refractor came back signed TTM by Paul DeJong recently. I had forgotten I had sent this, but was pleasantly surprised when it came in.

DeJong (b. 1993) played in the majors from 2017 to 2025 for the Cardinals, Blue Jays, White Sox, Royals and Nationals. He had 723 hits, 146 home runs and a .229 batting average. He was an All Star in 2019 and finished second in the 2017 NL Rookie of the Year voting.

I mailed to DeJong on February 22, 2021, via Cardinals Spring Training and got the card back signed on June 20, 2026, for a 1,944-day TAT.

TTM Success - Sheng-En Lin

Another current player that I was able to get to sign TTM recently was Reds prospect. Sheng-En Lin. He signed my 2024 Bowman Draft (above) and my 2025 Topps Pro Debut chrome and base cards (below).
I had his blue foil parallel, but had misplaced it. Of course I found it after I sent these off. Typical of me.

Lin (b. 2005) was an international signing by the Reds out of Taiwan. He has played in the Reds system since 2023 when he was 17. He has reached A ball, but spent this whole season on the IL. He has 74 hits, 3 home runs and a .258 batting average.

I mailed to Lin on May 18 via Daytona, and got the cards back on June 18, for a 31-day TAT.

TTM Success - Whit Merrifield

A private signing I had been hoping for popped up recently. I had been trying to get Whit Merrifield on some cards since my dad poured his driveway back in 2021. My brother took some cards for me, but didn't see Merrifield after that. Since then, I pulled a couple nice parallels, which were the ones that I ended up sending out. Above is an awesome blue shimmer foil from 2024 Topps.
This one is a blue foil from 2025 Topps. In person, it is a darker shade of blue. My scanner kind of brightened it.

Merrifield (b. 1989) played in the majors from 2016 to 2024 for the Royals, Blue Jays, Phillies and Braves. He had 1,249 hits, 94 home runs and a .280 batting average. He led the league in hits in 2018 and 2019. He was an All Star three times (2019, 2021 and 2023). He finished 17th in the 2018 AL MVP race.

I mailed to the signing on May 2 and got the cards back on June 11, for a 37-day TAT. I paid a fee of $25/card.

TTM Success - Cam Eden

Another recent player that I found had been signing TTM was Cam Eden. Chris and I had met him when we were in Buffalo a couple years ago, but at that time, he had no cards. Fast forward a bit, and he got into some update sets.
I sent Eden a 2024 Topps Heritage High Number (top) and a 2024 Topps Update (above) for the TTM request, and they both look great.

Eden (b. 1998) played in the majors in 2023 for the Blue Jays. He had 1 hit, no home runs and a .167 batting average.

I mailed to Eden on March 21 and got the cards back on June 5, for a 76-day TAT.
