TTM Success - Logan Moore

A couple more random Bowman cards were pulled from the box and sent out TTM. These two 2011 Bowman Logan Moore cards turned out nicely when they were signed. It's hard to believe 2011 Bowman was released 15 years ago. It's fun to find some guys from those older sets who sign TTM; it seems they're happy to hear from a fan these days.

Moore (b. 1990) was a 9th round pick by the Phillies in the 2011 June Amateur Draft out of Northeastern Junior College in Colorado. He played in the minors from 2011 to 2018 and 2021 in the Phillies system, reaching AAA. He had 387 hits, 28 home runs and a .217 batting average. He kept his career going into 2025 while playing in the independent leagues. He had played at High Point for a couple seasons, and I missed him.

I mailed to Moore on November 19 and got the cards back on December 20, for a 31-day TAT. 

TTM Success - Jeff Stevens

Here's a nice 2011 Bowman of Jeff Stevens that I got signed TTM recently. The card turned out nicely, even though I had no idea who Stevens was.  I like getting random Cubs guys, since my buddy, Max, is a huge Cubs fan.

Stevens (b. 1983) played in the majors 2009 to 2011 for the Cubs.  He had a record of 1-0 with 28 strike outs and a 6.27 ERA.

I mailed to Stevens on October 8 and got the card back on October 21 for a 13-day TAT. 

TTM Success - Kevin Whelan

A couple older Bowman cards came back signed TTM from Kevin Whelan.  The above 2006 Bowman Chrome turned out really well, even though the scan shows the card being very dark.

This 2011 Bowman also turned out nicely.

Whelan (b. 1984) played in the majors in 2011 and 2014 for the Yankees and Tigers.  His major league experience consisted of three games.  He had a 0-0 record with 2 strike outs and a 9.00 ERA.

I mailed to Whelan on August 19 and got the cards back on September 18 for a 30-day TAT. 

September 16, 2025, Graphing of the High Point Rockers

My last opportunity to graph this season came and went on Tuesday when I saw High Point for the last time.  I didn't even bother with trying to get the opposing team (Charleston) this time around.

The biggest reason I wanted to see High Point one more time was to see David Hess.  Hess, a former Oriole, is a two-time cancer survivor and all-around great guy.  I bought the above 2019 Topps Chrome orange refractor for the potential trip.  The card is numbered to 25.  He signed the card, along g with a 2019 Topps base card for my friend, Ryan.

Frank Viola was great, as usual.  I'm running out of different Viola cards to get signed.  I do still have a ton overall, though.

I was looking through boxes for some cards to send to Max, and found a bunch of Alex Dickerson 2011 Bowmans.  I got those done, along with a few others.

I got several High Point team set cards signed.  George Greer was surprised that I wanted his autograph, so he signed my team set card, told me to hold on and brought me the Cardinals card from the clubhouse.  I thought that was really cool.

The 2017 Bowman sky blue refractor of Luis Gonzales was found in a bargain bin at the National.  I got most of the cards I found there signed.  I enjoyed finding the various parallels at the show and getting them into the album. 

I went to the fame with my brother, Andy.  I miss how we went to Wood Ducks games back when he was here for college.  It was good to get together and spend some time with each other.

In all, I got the following autographs: Alex Dickerson x 9, Ryan Dull x 1, Luis Gonzalez x 2, George Greer x 2, David Hess x 2, Jamie Keefe x 1, Drew Mendoza x 2 and Frank Viola x 9 (28 autographs).

TTM Success - Joe DeMers

Here are a couple older Bowman cards that I pulled and sent out TTM for signatures.  These Joe DeMers cards turned out nicely.

I enjoy getting some of these cards out of the Bowman box.  It also helps me learn about players that I didn't get to see while graphing.

DeMers (b. 1996) was an 11th round pick by the A's during the 2018 June Amateur Draft out of the University of Washington.

He played in the minors in 2019, 2021 and 2022, all in the A's system. He reached high A.  He had a record of 9-10 with 129 strike outs and a 5.77 ERA.

I mailed to DeMers on February 4 and got the cards back on February 21 for a 17-day TAT. 

TTM Success - Carl Thomore

A couple older Bowman cards were freed from the Bowman box recently when I sent these two cards TTM to Carl Thomore.  Getting cards like these signed is a lot of fun; I am able to learn about past minor leaguers who were around before I started graphing in person. 

Thomore (b. 1993) was a 2nd round pick by the Rockies in the 2011 June Amateur Draft out of East Brunswick High School in New Jersey.  He played in the minors from 2011 to 2014 in the Rockies and White Sox systems.  He reached low A Kannapolis prior to leaving affiliated ball in 2014.  He continued to independent ball in 2015 and 2016.

He had 159 hits, 8 home runs and a .213 batting average during his time with affiliated teams.

I mailed to Thomore on December 4 and got the cards back on January 6 for a 33-day TAT.  He included a note that said "Thanks for loving this great game.  Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to your family." 

TTM Success - Adam WIlk

This 2011 Bowman Adam Wilk was in my to-be-TTMed box for what felt like forever.  I finally pulled it to send out after I found the below 2010 Bowman and 2010 Bowman Chrome and pulled them. 

All of the cards look good, even though 2010 Bowman Chrome doesn't scam well.

Wilk (b. 1987) played in the majors in 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2017 for the Tigers, Angels, Mets and Twins.  He had a record of 0-5 with 27 strike outs and a 7.36 ERA.

I mailed to Wilk on December 4 and got the cards back on December 16 for a 12-day TAT. 

TTM Success - Kyle Drabek

This TTM success from Kyle Drabek took a while to come in, but I was happy when it did.  This 2011 Bowman turned out nicely.  I wish it had been a parallel or something but 2011 Bowman base cards look nice, as well.

I also got a 2010 Topps Pro Debut and a 2014 Topps signed.  Getting 2010 Pro Debuts out of my box is always great, considering I have a ton of them.  I remember being really excited when Pro Debut first came out, so I bought a box, busted it and put the cards up.  I'm glad I did, since I went through that box later and found a Mike Trout.  Not bad.

Drabek (b. 1987) played in the majors from 2010 to 2016 for the Blue Jays, White Sox and Diamondbacks.  He had a record of 8-15 with 123 strike outs and a 5.26 ERA.

I mailed to Drabek on October 7 and got the cards back on August 15, for a 313-day TAT.

TTM Success - Lance Pendleton

This 2011 Bowman of Lance Pendleton was kind of beat up before I decided to send it out TTM.  I don't know how it got scuffed up, but it was.  Still, I dropped it in the mail and was able to get it signed and out of my box.

Pendleton (b. 1983) played in the majors in 2011 for the Astros and Yankees.  He had no record, 13 strike outs and a 6.75 ERA.

I mailed to Pendleton on March 11 and got the card back on March 23, for a 12-day TAT. 

Another TTM Success From Cory Spangenberg

Two more cards were freed from my Box Of Shame when I pulled these Cory Spangenbergs that I failed to get signed IP a while back.  I sent them TTM recently and they came back signed last week.

The above 2014 Topps Heritage Minors is a cool card.  I ended up with a bunch of those when I got the boxes from the LCS when it closed.  I was glad to get one out of the box and into the album.

I also got this 2011 Bowman black border card signed. This set was another that I inherited from the LCS.

I mailed to Spangenberg on January 10 and got the cards back on February 9, for a 30-day TAT. 

Another TTM Success From Brandon Kintzler

Here are a couple cards that I got into the album when I sent a second TTM request to Brandon Kintzler.  The above 2011 Bowman complements the 2011 Bowman Chrome that I sent to him with the first request.

I also liked this 2021 Topps.  Im still lagging behind on getting many 2021s signed, as opposed to other Topps series from surrounding years.

I mailed to Kintzler on January 18, 2022, and got the cards back on March 7, 2023, for a 413-day TAT.

TTM Success - Cody Eppley

This random 2011 Bowman that I got signed TTM by Cody Eppley turned out nicely.  I don't have many 2011 Bowmans laying around; I guess those were in some other box that I didn't get from my former LCS.  I regret not going back and getting the rest of the boxes he had, but maybe that just wasn't meant to be.

Eppley (b. 1985) played in the majors from 2011 to 2013 for the Rangers and Yankees.  He had a record of 2-3 with 39 strike outs and a 4.61 ERA.

I mailed to Eppley on February 10 and got the card back on March 31, for a 49-day TAT.

TTM Success - TJ Steele

Another older Bowman card was added to my album with this TTM success from TJ Steele.  This is a 2011 Bowman, and it turned out nicely.

Steele (b. 1986) was a 4th round pick by the Astros in the 2008 June Amateur Draft out of University of Arizona.  He played in the minors (Astros and Padres systems) from 2008 to 2012, reaching AA.  He had 287 hits, 23 home runs and a .247 batting average.

I mailed to Steele on March 1 and got the card back on March 11, for a 10-day TAT.

TTM Success - Ronnie Welty

Here are some more Orioles cards that I pulled from my boxes and got signed TTM.  I remember seeing Ronnie Welty play for Frederick, and I probably got him on a team ball, but this was way before I was getting cards signed.  Now, I have this 2011 Bowman in my album, and it looks great.

This 2011 Bowman foil parallel also turned out great.  I love how this turned out, as the white foil looks really nice.

Welty (b. 1988) was a 20th round pick by the Orioles in the 2008 June Amateur Draft out of Chandler-Gilbert Community College in Arizona.  He played in the minors from 2008 to 2013 in the Orioles and Phillies systems, reaching AA.  He had 498 hits, 58 home runs and a .279 batting average.

I mailed to Welty on October 19 and got the cards back on October 28, for a 9-day TAT.

TTM Success - Will Lamb

Here are some cards that I was happy to get back signed TTM.  I had a small stack of 2012 Bowman Chrome green refractors that came out of a few packs that my mom had gotten for me a while back.  I finally found someone in the stack who signed TTM, Will Lamb, and sent the cards off to be signed.

The cards turned out great, and remove a few from my prospects boxes.

Lamb (b. 1990) was a 2nd round pick by the Rangers in the 2011 June Amateur Draft out of Clemson.  He played in the minors from 2011 to 2017 in the Rangers, White Sox and Rockies organizations, reaching AAA.  He had a record of 27-23 with 429 strike outs and a 4.20 ERA.

I mailed to Lamb on March 27 and got the cards back on April 19, for a 23-day TAT.

TTM Success - Sean Coyle

Sean Coyle is another of those players who's name I saw in my boxes bunches of times.  I finally got around to looking for an address for him and sent some of the cards off.  They came back signed not too long later, and I'm glad to get them into my album.

I like the design of 2015 Pro Debut.  I didn't open much of it, but now, Pro Debut is pretty much a staple around here.  They look cool when signed, like the one above.

Here are some Bowmans that I got Coyle to sign.  They are 2011 Chrome, 2011 base and 2014 base.

Coyle (b. 1992) was a 3rd round pick by the Red Sox in the 2010 June Amateur Draft out of high school.  He played in the minors in the Red Sox, Angels and Orioles systems from 2010 to 2017, reaching AAA.  He had 490 hits, 70 home runs and a .234 batting average.

I mailed to Coyle on October 16 and got the cards back on January 25, for a 101-day TAT.

TTM Success - Josh Collmenter

I was able to get some nice mid-2010s cards signed via TTM from Josh Collmenter.  The above 2012 Topps turned out really well.

Collmenter also signed cards from 2013 and 2014 Topps Update, 2015 Topps Heritage and 2011 Bowman.

Collmenter (b. 1986) played in the majors from 2011 to 2017 for the Diamondbacks and Braves.  He had a record of 38-35 with 494 strike outs and a 3.64 ERA.

I mailed to Collmenter on October 12 and got the cards back on October 24, for a 12-day TAT.

TTM Success - Vinnie Pestano

When I saw that there were players who played fairly recently who were signing TTM, Vinnie Pestano was one of the first ones I started pulling cards of.  He didn't have much, but I did find a few in my boxes.

Pestano signed the three cards I sent with a black Sharpie, and the signature turned out really well.  I especially liked the 2011 Bowman.

Pestano (b. 1985) played in the majors from 2010 to 2015 for the Indians and Angels.  He had a career record of 6-8 with 244 strike outs and a 2.98 ERA.

I mailed to Pestano on October 21 and got the cards back on November 30, for a 40-day TAT.

TTM Success - Stephen Vogt

Another Spring Training TTM success landed me some signed cards from catcher, Stephen Vogt.  I had been holding his cards for a bit, waiting for him to be picked up by a team, and I finally sent these out when he was picked up by the Giants.  The cards turned out really nicely, and I am glad I was able to get them into my album.  I counted last night, and including my 1987 Topps album, I am on my 12th autograph album.

Vogt (b. 1984) has played in the majors since 2012 for the Rays, A's Brewers and Giants.  He did not play in the majors last season (2018).  He has 426 hits, 58 home runs and a .251 batting average.  He was an All Star in 2015 and 2016.

I mailed to Giants Spring Training on February 12 and got the cards back on April 9, for a 56-day TAT.
