TTM Success - Mark Knudson

Here are some nice 90s cards that I got signed TTM from Mark Knudson.  The above 1991 Fleer turned out really well, as they always do.

I also got a 1988 Donruss, 1990 Topps and 1991 Topps signed by Knudson.  All of them look great.

Knudson (b. 1960) played in the majors from 1985 to 1991 and 1993 for the Astros, Brewers and Rockies.  He had a record of 24-29 with 195 strike outs and a 4.72 ERA.

I mailed to Knudson on November 30 and got the cards back on January 2, for a 33-day TAT.

TTM Success - Roy White

I held onto his cards for a while, until I was ready to spend some money on a non-1987 signing.  Then, I sent off 4 cards to Roy White.  I had some nice stuff, like the above 2001 Upper Deck Legends of New York.  The NY logo is actually fuzzy, like made of felt.  I have several of these cards, and was glad to get one into my album.

I also had White's 1973 Topps, 2001 Topps Archives and a 2009 Upper Deck Goudey.  All of the cards came out great.  I had a decent stack of White's cards put aside, since he was supposed to be at a National a couple years ago.  He ended up not being there, so the cards sat and waited.

White (b. 1943) played in the majors from 1965 to 1979 for the Yankees.  He had 1,803 hits, 160 home runs and a .271 batting average.  His best MVP finish was 12th, in 1968.  He was an All Star in 1969 and 1970 and won the World Series with the Yankees in 1977 and 1978.  He appeared on the 1985 Hall of Fame ballot, but received no votes.

I mailed to White on November 23 and got the cards back on January 2, for a 40-day TAT.  I paid his fee of $5/card.

TTM Success - Chase Austin

I added another older Bowman card to my autograph album with this TTM success from Chase Austin.  He signed my 2010 Bowman with a fading black Sharpie, but the card still looks good.  I was happy to get it done.

Austin (b. 1987) was a 5th round pick by the Marlins in the 2009 June Amateur Draft out of Elon University in NC.  He played in the Marlins system from 2009 to 2011, reaching High A.  He had 248 hits, 27 home runs and a .248 batting average.

I mailed to Austin on December 22 and got the card back on December 31, for a 9-day TAT.

TTM Success - Brendan Murphy

I got some nice cards out of one of my boxes with this TTM success from Brewers prospect, Brendan Murphy.  I had been holding onto his cards with the hope that I would see him with the Carolina Mudcats, but I missed the opportunity.  He may still come through Carolina, but he hasn't pitched anywhere since 2017, so it is probably unlikely.  He is listed with the Mudcats for this season, so we will have to see if he can finally get back on a mound.

I got some really nice cards signed.  The card at the top is a 2017 Panini Elite Extra Edition die cut numbered 82/99.  The cards above are all from 2017 Bowman.  There are two different shades of blue refractors, a Bowman Chrome and Bowman base.  I always liked this version of Bowman, and have gotten a bunch of them signed at Wood Ducks games.  If Murphy does make it onto Carolina's roster, I may be able to knock out a few more.

Murphy (b. 1999) was a 4th round pick by the Brewers in the 2017 June Amateur Draft out of an Illinois high school.  He pitched in Arizona for the Brewers rookie ball team in 2017.  He went 0-2 with 11 strike outs and a 6.19 ERA.

I mailed to Murphy on December 21 and got the cards back on December 31, for a 10-day TAT.

TTM Success - Brad Komminsk

Here are some nice cards I got signed by Brad Komminsk.  The above 1990 Score Traded turned out really well.  I like the orange card, and it matches the Orioles colors.

I also got a 1985 Topps and 1985 Donruss signed by Komminsk.  I don't have many 18985 Donruss at all, so getting this one into my album was nice.

Finally, I got Komminsk to sign my 1991 Crown Orioles card.  This one also looks great, and I was glad to get it out of my box.

Komminsk (b. 1961) played in the majors from 1983 to 1987 and 1989 to 1991 for the Braves, Brewers, Indians, Giants, Orioles and A's.  He had 215 hits, 23 home runs and a .218 batting average.

I mailed to Komminsk on July 28 and got the cards back on December 31, for a 156-day TAT.

Mystery TTM From Gerard - Linda Ruth Tosetti

The next mystery TTM to come in from my buddy, Gerard, was this one from the granddaughter of Babe Ruth, Linda Ruth Tosetti.  She signed two of these 2016 Leaf Babe Ruth cards.

The cards came out great, and I appreciate Gerard getting them signed for me.  I was able to get Babe's adopted daughter, Julia Ruth Stevens, on a couple cards a while back, before she passed away.  Tosetti is the daughter of Babe's only biological child, Dorothy (who passed away in 1989).

TTM Success - Marcus McCain

There isn't much to see, but Marcus McCain did sign this 1997 Topps Devil Rays rookies card.  You have to look close, but there is an autograph there.

McCain (b. 1974) played in the minors in 1996 and 1997, reaching High A ball, before moving on to independent ball.  Overall, he had 258 hits, 2 home runs and a .300 battimg average.

I mailed to McCain on October 27 and got the card back on December 29, for a 63-day TAT.
