TTM Success - Bill Long

My recent TTM successes stretch beyond cards I pulled from Conrad's boxes and my own vintage stuff.  I still have a ton of junk wax era cards to send out, and got a few taken care of with this success from Bill Long.  He signed the above 1989 Bowman nicely.  This will take a spot in an 8-card page and help me continue to fill that up.
I also got a 1989 Score, 1990 Score Rookies and Traded and a 1990 Topps signed.  Each turned out nicely.

Long (b. 1960) played in the majors in 1985 and from 1987 to 1991 for the White Sox, Cubs and Expos.  He had a record of 27-27 with 247 strike outs and a 4.37 ERA.

I mailed to Long on December 2 and got the cards back on December 18, for a 16-day TAT.

TTM Success - Eric Gunderson

Some cards were removed from my junk wax box when I got this TTM success from Eric Gunderson.  With the boxes and boxes of this stuff that I have, it is hard to get them organized and sorted so I can send to players from this era.  So, I take what I can get, and removing some Gunderson cards helped.
I got cards from 1992 FLeer (top), 1990 Score Rookies and Traded (left), 1991 Score (middle) and 1991 Upper deck signed.

Gunderson (b. 1966) played in the majors from 1990 to 1992 and 1994 to 2000 for the Giants, Mariners, Mets, Red Sox, Rangers and Blue Jays.  He had a record of 8-11 with 137 strike outs and a 4.95 ERA.

I mailed to Gunderson on November 17 and got the cards back on January 25, for a 69-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Scott Bailes

I sent to Scott Bailes and got some cards back signed in 2018.  I had some nice stuff built up of him, so I decided to send again.  The above 1986 Donruss Rookies came out really well.  I always liked this set; I had the 1986 Donruss Highlights set (and still do around here somewhere).
My goal of getting an 86 Sportflics in my album kind of backfired, since he signed the back of the card.  That's ok, the front probably would have bled and smeared anyway.  It was worth a shot.  I also got a 1990 Score Rookies and Traded and a 1988 Donruss Baseball's Best, which turned out nicely.

I mailed to Bailes on December 22 and got the cards back on January 9, for an 18-day TAT.

TTM Success - Brad Komminsk

Here are some nice cards I got signed by Brad Komminsk.  The above 1990 Score Traded turned out really well.  I like the orange card, and it matches the Orioles colors.
I also got a 1985 Topps and 1985 Donruss signed by Komminsk.  I don't have many 18985 Donruss at all, so getting this one into my album was nice.
Finally, I got Komminsk to sign my 1991 Crown Orioles card.  This one also looks great, and I was glad to get it out of my box.

Komminsk (b. 1961) played in the majors from 1983 to 1987 and 1989 to 1991 for the Braves, Brewers, Indians, Giants, Orioles and A's.  He had 215 hits, 23 home runs and a .218 batting average.

I mailed to Komminsk on July 28 and got the cards back on December 31, for a 156-day TAT.

TTM Success - Greg Olson

I got a few junk wax era cards out of my box with this TTM success from former catcher, Greg Olson.  Not to be confused with former Oriole closer, Gregg Olson.
Olson (b. 1960) played in the majors from 1989 to 1993 for the Twins and Braves.  He had 309 hits, 20 home runs and a .242 batting average.  He was an All Star in 1990.

I mailed to Olson on June 29 and got the cards back on December 1, for a 155-day TAT.

TTM Success - Beau Allred

The cards I got back signed from Beau Allred all turned out pretty well.  There was a lot of orange to go around, but that's ok.  The cards all look sharp, and scanned well.  The above 1990 Score Traded is pretty cool, and will stand out in my album.

The 1990 Topps in the middle of the next scan is actually a Rediscover Topps buyback card that I pulled.  I've never been a fan of the foil stamps on cards, but when I'm getting them signed, they're pretty cool.  I also got Allred's 1990 CMC AAA and a regular 1990 Topps.

Allred (b. 1965) played in the majors from 1989 tom1991 for the Indians.  He had 38 hits, 4 home runs and a .230 batting average.

I mailed to Allred on July 24 and got the cards back on August 7, for a 14-day TAT.

TTM Success - Wayne Edwards

I got a lot of junk wax era cards out of my box with this TTM success from Wayne Edwards.  I was surprised at all of the cards I found, and added some nice ones to my album.
I'm usually a Topps guy (and there is a Topps in the bunch, a 1991), but some of these other brands look really nice when signed.  Most aren't my first choice, but I was glad with how all of these turned out.
I've grown to like some of the older Bowman cards when they get signed.  These two are from 1991 (L) and 1990 (R).  These turned out really well with Edwards's signature.

Edwards (b. 1964) played in the majors from 1989 to 1991 for the White Sox.  He had a record of 5-5 with 84 strike outs and a 3.37 ERA.

I mailed to Edwards on May 21 and got the cards back on June 29, for a 39-day TAT.

Instagram Deal with Zach O.

I was approached recently by a guy from California about the 1990 Score Rookie and Traded box seen in the above picture.  He didn't want the set and was willing to send it to me for free.  I was amazed by the offer, but I didn't really want the set at first.  He insisted, so I agreed to take it off of his hands.  I guess he had a change of heart, and then decided he wanted to hold onto the set for the time being.  He said that he did, however, have a ball he wanted to get rid of, and if I bought the ball off of him, he would go ahead and throw the set in the mix.

Well, for a ridiculously low price, I bought the ball, and got the set of cards.  What happened afterward turned out to be pretty awesome.  We got to talking, and it turned out that the guy sending me this stuff was someone who had been following me with his personal account since about when I first started trading on Instagram.

Zach had been wanting to approach me for a while about a deal, but he didn't really have a lot he wanted to offer.  I'm glad he finally did, because it turned out that he is a really friendly guy.  We have hit it off pretty fast, and have had a lot of discussions about baseball, and life in general.  He's a really good guy, and I'm happy that he messaged me about those 1990 Score.  I'm going to put the set up with the rest of my completed sets, and not touch it.  The ball came from the 1994 World Series that wasn't played, so I will put it with my other logo and specialty baseballs.

Thank you so much for the deal, Zach!  I really appreciate it, and I'm happy that I could make a new friend!
