TTM Success - Jace Brewer

Another Bowman card that Ryan sent me was sent out TTM to Jace Brewer for an autograph. He included his own card (the above 2000 Fleer Tradition), which was a nice touch.

The card Ryan gave me was the above 2001 Bowman. The card turned out great, as well.

Brewer (b. 1979) was a 5th round pick by the Devil Rays in the 2000 June Amateur Draft out of Baylor University. He played in the minors from 2000 to 2007 in the Devil Rays, Rangers and Royals systems, reaching AAA. He had 636 hits, 30 home runs and a .251 batting average. 

I mailed to Brewer on December 4 and got the cards back on December 23, for a 19-day TAT. 

TTM Success - Brett Evert

This 2001 Bowman of Brett Evert was another card out of the stack of older Bowmans from Ryan. I sent it out TTM and got it back signed in black Sharpie. 

Evert (b. 1980) was a 7th round pick by the Braves in the 1999 June Amateur Draft out of North Salem High School in Oregon. He played in the minors from 1999 to 2007 in the Braves, Mariners, Brewers and Red Sox. He wound up reaching AAA. He had a record of 43-50, 714 strike outs and a 3.88 ERA.

I mailed to Evert on November 20 and got the card back signed, along with a note telling me happy holidays, on December 2, for a 12-day TAT.

TTM Success - Joe Borchard

I got some nice cards back signed TTM from Joe Borchard, recently.  The above 2003 FLair was a really great one to get back, as I really enjoy this design.  The card turned out great, even with a black Sharpie.

I checked, and Corwin Malone doesn't sign TTM, so this 2003 Topps will just take a spot in my album.

I also got an 02 Topps and an 01 Bowman signed, and they both turned out well.  Borchard has a nice signature, and the Sharpie he used was a good one.

Borchard (b. 1978) played in the majors from 2002 to 2007 for the White Sox, Mariners and Marlins.  He had 147 hits, 26 home runs and a .205 batting average.

I mailed to Borchard on August 12 and got the cards back on August 24, for a 12-day TAT.

TTM Success - Ben Petrick

The TTM I sent ended up being a bunch of cards, but Ben Petrick signed them all, and I added some different stuff to my autograph album.

This 2000 Skybox turned out to be a pretty sharp card, and I liked how it looked.  I'm pretty sure it was something I found at my LCS a while back, and it finally came in signed.

Here are three different Bowmans from a long time ago, and a 2000 Topps Stadium Club.  The Bowmans are 1996, 2000 and 2001.  The 1996 (bottom left) was one of the cards I got out of a box while visiting Andrew a couple years ago.

Finally, some Fleer offerings, a 2001 Fleer Futures and a 2000 Fleer Tradition.  These are some pretty cool cards, as Fleer had some cool designs in the early 2000s.  Their problem was that they flooded the market with products and ran themselves out of business.

Petrick (b. 1977) played in the majors from 1999 to 2003 for the Rockies and Tigers.  He had 172 hits, 27 home runs and a .257 batting average.

I mailed to Petrick on March 25 and got the cards back on August 24, for a 152-day TAT.

TTM Success - George Lombard

I got another TTM success back from the batch I sent to Spring Training, this one being from Dodgers camp.  I had some nice late 90s, early 2000s cards of Lombard that I sent off, but he ended up keeping two of the better cards that I sent.

The ones I got back turned out well, so I can't complain.  I just wish I had gotten the other two cards back, because they would have looked cool.

Lombard (b. 1975) is exactly 5 years older than I am.  It isn't often that I find a player with whom I share a birthday, but it is cool that Lombard and I do.  He played in the majors from 1998 to 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2006 for the Braves, Tigers, Devil Rays and Nationals.  He had 77 hits, 8 home runs and a .220 batting average.

I mailed to Lombard via Dodgers Spring Training on February 5 and got the cards back on June 22, for a 137-day TAT.
