TTM Success - Armando Rios

Here are a few nice early 2000s cards that I was able to clear out of my boxes with this TTM success from Armando Rios.  I actually sent these in too quickly, as I had found them and wrote to Rios right after, forgetting that I had put a couple other cards of his aside earlier in the year.  So, I missed those cards, and I will have to send to him again.  Still, what I got signed turned out well, and I was able to add a 2000 Topps to the album, since I don't have many in the autograph album.

I also added a 2001 Topps and a 2002 Topps, as well.  I wish I had waited to find the other cards I had pulled, but it is what it is.

Rios (b. 1971) played in the majors from 1998 to 2003 for the Giants, Pirates and White Sox.  He had 275 hits, 36 home runs and a .269 batting average.

I mailed to Rios on September 11 and got the cards back on November 5, for a 54-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Vida Blue

Vida Blue has signed TTM for me a couple times already, but I wanted to add him on my 1972 Topps 1971 AL ERA Leaders card already signed by Jim Palmer and Wilbur Wood.

I also got the above 2004 Upper Deck Sweet Spot Classic signed because I like the design and kept seeing the card in my box.

I finally completed the 72 Topps, and it looks great.  I'm glad I started the card a while back with Wood; now it is complete.

I mailed to Blue on October 16 and got the cards back on November 5, for a 20-day TAT. I paid a fee of $20.00/card.

TTM Success - Carlton Fisk

Carlton Fisk was among the last few Hall of Famers that I needed for my 1987 Topps set. I had put off adding him to the set for some time now, since his fee was so high.  I finally got the money together and sent to him. Before I did, however, I found another card that I wanted to send.

The above 2013 Gypsy Queen Collisions card turned out amazingly and I am glad I spent the extra money to get it signed.

Of course, I got my 87 done, as well, and crossed Fisk off of the list. 

I mailed to Fisk on October 9 and got the cards back on November 4, for a 26-day TAT. This was also my 700th signed 1987 Topps. I paid a fee of $50/card.

TTM Success - Michael Flacco

Michael Flacco, the brother of former Ravens (now Jets) quarterback, Joe Flacco, was a former Orioles farmhand at one point.  I had forgotten about this, until I went through my Orioles box recently.  I looked (Michael) Flacco up, and figured I would try and see if I could get a couple of my cards signed TTM.  I turned out to be successful, which was really cool, and the cards look nice.

The cards are 2009 Bowman Draft Picks and Prospects cards, of which I didn't open many.  Still, it was nice to add these to the album.

Flacco (b. 1987) was a 31st round draft pick by the Orioles in the 2009 June Amateur Draft out of the Community College of Baltimore County Catonsville Campus.  He played in the minors from 2009 to 2012, all in the  Orioles system, reaching AA.  He had 313 hits, 21 home runs and a .253 batting average.

I mailed to Flacco on October 14 and got the cards back on November 4, for a 21-day TAT.

TTM Success - Gary Glover

A 2003 Topps card (along with the partial factory set) was rescued from the dumpster at my former LCS right before it closed.  I was able to transfer this card from the partial set to my autograph album since I received it back signed TTM from Gary Glover.

Glover (b. 1976) played in the majors in 1999, from 2001 to 2005 and 2007 to 2008 for the Blue Jays, White Sox, Angels, Brewers, Rays and Tigers.  He had a record of 29-26 with 324 strike outs and a 5.03 ERA.

I mailed to Glover on April 30 and got the card back on November 2, for a 186-day TAT.

TTM Success - Mike Hart

A couple more Orioles cards were added to the album when I got this TTM success back from Mike Hart.  His 1988 Topps (above) looks nice now that it is signed.  I had quite a few of them, so it was nice to move one out of the box and into the album.

I also went ahead and got my 1991 Crown Orioles signed, and it also turned out well.

Hart (b. 1958) played in the majors in 1984 and 1987 for the Twins and Orioles.  He had 17 hits, 4 home runs and a .162 batting average.

I mailed to Hart on October 19 and got the cards back on November 1, for a 13-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Russ Snyder

Back in 2017, I received two cards signed TTM from Russ Snyder, so I figured it was about time to send to him again.  This time, I sent the above 1967 Topps and the below 1991 Crown Orioles.  I really like this 1967, it turned out great, and I haven't added a 67 to my album in a while.

I'm not sure why Snyder signed the back of my 1991 Crown Orioles card, but he did, and that's how it is going to have to go in my album.  I'm glad this wasn't a more significant card, or I would have been upset.  Since it is a 1991 Crown Orioles, I'll deal with it being an oddball in my album and roll on.

I mailed to Snyder on October 14 and got the cards back on October 30, for a 16-day TAT.
