TTM Success - Dan Fife

Here is a 1974 Topps that I was able to get signed TTM by Dan Fife.

Fife (b. 1949) played in the majors from 1973 to 1974 for the Twins.  He had a record of 3-2 with 21 strike outs and a 5.43 ERA.

I mailed to Fife on December 17 and got the card back on January 15, for a 29-day TAT.

TTM Success - Jeff Johnson

Here are a couple early 90s cards that I got signed TTM from Jeff Johnson.  The above 1992 Triple Play turned out really well.  This set was the bottom of the barrel, as far as quality and price point went back then, but it was a decent-enough set.  The cards stand out, and you could get your hands on boxes of these really cheaply; especially at Sam's Club (thanks Mom!).

I also got Johnson to sign a 1992 Topps, which turned out nice, also.

Johnson (b. 1966) played in the majors from 1991 to 1993 for the Yankees.  He had a record of 8-16 with 76 strike outs and a 6.52 ERA.  I didn't realize it until I started writing this post, but Johnson is a fellow graduate of UNC-Charlotte.  He was a 6th round pick by the Yankees out of UNCC in the 1988 June Amateur Draft.

I mailed to Johnson on December 4 and got the cards back on January 15, for a 42-day TAT.

TTM Success - Harrison Tyler

There isn't much to it, but this is a TTM success from the grandson of former President, John Tyler. Let that sink in for a second. Harrison Tyler, who is 92, is the grandson of the 10th President of the United States. Due to some "late-in-life" progeny, his roots stretch for. Very long way across time. I thought it was really cool when I read about him several months ago. It turns out that I am very lucky to have gotten the card signed, as Mr. Tyler jas suffered a series of strokes recently. Upon the passing of his older brother (who was 95) last year, he is the last living grandson of President Tyler.

John Tyler (b. 1790 - d. 1862) was President from 1841-1845 after assuming the role upon the death of William Henry Harrison. Not considered one of the better presidents in history, he was still among the short list of Americans who have held that title. He also fathered 15 children in his life, which helped his line extend as far as it has.

I mailed to Harrison Tyler on October 16 and got the card back on January 15, for a 91-day TAT.

TTM Success - Jerry Augustine

Here are a few cards that I was able to get signed TTM from Jerry Augustine. The above 1982 Topps turned out really well.

I also got a 1979 and a 1980 Topps signed.

Augustine (b. 1952) played in the majors from 1975 to 1984 for the Brewers. He had a record of 55-59 with 348 strike outs and a 4.23 ERA.

I mailed to Augustine on December 22 and got the cards back on January 14, for a 23-day TAT.

TTM Success - Marc Rzepczynski

His nickname is "Scrabble" due to the excessive use of consonants in his last name.  I believe his score would be really darn high if someone were able to play it.  We always said you can's use proper names in the game, so tough luck.  Anyway, Marc Rzepczynski signed three cards for me TTM, beginning with the above 2009 Bowman.  He pretty much covered up the photo, but the card is signed.

He also signed a 2010 Upper Deck, 2009 Topps Update and a 2010 Topps.

Rzepczynski (b. 1985) played in the majors from 2009 to 2018 for the Blue Jays, Cardinals, Indians, Padres, A's, Nationals and Mariners.  He had a career record of 14-27 with 409 strike outs and a 3.89 ERA.  He won the World Series in 2011 with the Cardinals.

I mailed to Rzepczynski on December 17 and got the cards back on January 14, for a 28-day TAT.

TTM Success - Randy Wells

Here are some nice cards that I got signed TTM from Randy Wells.  The above 2010 Topps Heritage turned out really well.  I have a partial set of 2010 Heritage, and have been pulling from it to get a few cards signed here and there.  They really look nice when signed.

I also got a 2008 Upper Deck and a 2012 Topps signed by Wells.  Both look really nice; his signature is a good one.

Wells (b. 1982) played in the majors from 2008 to 2012 for the Blue Jays and Cubs.  He had a record of 28-32 with 345 strike outs and a 4.08 ERA.

I mailed to Wells on December 17 and got the cards back on January 14, for a 28-day TAT.

TTM Success - Aaron Barrett

Here is a 2020 Topps that I got signed TTM by Aaron Barrett.  I had to send the card twice; apparently, USPS has a hard time reading my handwriting at times.

Barrett (b. 1988) played in the majors in 2014, 2015, 2019 and 2020 for the Nationals.  He had a career record of 6-3 with 86 strike outs and a 4.01 ERA.  He re-signed with the Nationals in November 2020, so he may hit the majors again this season.

I mailed to Barrett on December 15 and got the card back signed on January 14, for a 30-day TAT.
