TTM Success - Jack Kucek

Here is a 1977 Topps that I got back signed TTM from Jack Kucek.  The card turned out nicely, signed in blue Sharpie.

Kucek (b. 1953) played in the majors from 1974 to 1980 for the White Sox, Phillies and Blue Jays.  He had a record of 7-16 with 121 strike outs and a 5.12 ERA.

I mailed to Kucek on October 17 and got the card back on October 27, for a 10-day TAT.

TTM Success - Cole Irvin

My friend, Gerard, sent me a bunch of 2022 Heritage this season, and I finally went through the boxes to see if I could get some signed TTM.  One of the cards was this one of Cole Irvin, which came back recetly.

Irvin (b. 1994) has played in the majors since 2019 for the Phillies and A's.  He has a record of 21-30 with 288 strike outs and a 4.40 ERA.

I mailed to Irvin on September 17 via the A's, and got the card back on October 26, for a 39-day TAT.

TTM Success - Camilo Pasqual

My TTM stack is building back up again, thanks in part to my raiding of my vintage box to add some older cards to my album.  This also has caused me to raid my 1955 set, in order to add a couple more of those guys to my album.  Camilo Pasqual was someone I was surprised that I hadn't sent to TTM in the past.  I'm glad I did, this time around.  He signed my 1955 Topps that I pulled from my set (and upgraded with a less off-centered version).

I also got these two; a 1962 Topps and a 1963 Topps 1962 AL Strikeout Leaders card.  The 1963 was pre-marked before I even had the card, so it would have been something I would have upgraded anyway if I ever went to build that set.

I was surprised that Pasqual added the above 1955 Topps that he inscribed to the package.  That was a really nice gesture, and I will gladly add it to the album.

Pasqual (b. 1934) played in the majors from 1954 to 1971 for the Senators, Twins, Reds, Dodgers and Indians.  He had a record of 174-170 with 2,167 strike outs and a 3.63 ERA.  He was a 7-time All Star (1959 to 1962 and 1964; with two selections in 1960 and 1962).  He won 20 of more games twice (1962 - 20; 1963 - 21).  His best finish in the MVP voting was 12th (1963; AL).He appeared on the Hall of Fame ballot in 1977 and 1978, but only received a high of 0.8% (1977).

I mailed to Pasqual on October 17 and got the cards back on October 25, for an 8-day TAT.  I paid his fee of $10/card and got one card from him for free.

TTM Success - Orlando Cepeda

When a Hall of Famer signs his mail as a decent price, I enjoy taking some cards of his and sending thiem off to be signed.  There are a handful of Hall of Famers who have been very prolific at signing, but one of them that I wasn't aware of was Orlando Cepeda.  It looks like Cepeda has signed a decent amount of mail recently, so when I saw that was the case, I dug out this awesome 2016 Stadium Club and sent it out.  Cepeda has been charging $20/card, which I believe is a great price for him.

Cepeda (b. 1937) played in the majors from 1958 to 1974 for the Giants, Cardinals, Braves, A's, Red Sox and Royals.  He had 2,351 hits, 379 home runs and a .297 batting average.  He was an 11-time All Star (1959 to 1962, when players could be chosen twice a year, 1963, 1964 and 1967).  He was the NL Rookie of the Year in 1958 and the NL MVP in 1967.  He won the World Series in 1967 with the Cardinals.  He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1999, when he was selected via the Veterans Committee.

I mailed to Cepeda on October 8 and got the card back on October 24, for a 16-day TAT.

TTM Success - Len Gabrielson

There will be a wave of vintage cards coming back TTM soon, and this return from Len Gabrielson was part of the initial wave I sent out this past month.  I also went on a bit of a buying spree that yielded me several that I have sent off as of late.

I was able to get a 1965 Topps and a 1968 Topps (above) signed TTM.  He inscribed both of them and has a really awesome signature.

Gabrielson (b. 1940) played in the majors in 1960 and from 1963 to 1970 for the Braves (Milwaukee), Cubs, Giants, Angels and Dodgers.  He had 446 hits, 37 home runs and a .253 batting average.

I mailed to Gabrielson on October 17 and got the cards back on October 24, for a 7-day TAT.

TTM Success - Paul Gilliford

Here is another 1991 Crown Orioles card that I got signed TTM.  This one is of Paul Gilliford, a pitcher who appeared in two games for the Orioles in the 1967 season.  He signed the card in black, with a pen that appears to be dying.

Gilliford (b. 1945) played in the majors in 1967, for the Orioles.  He had a 0-0 record with 2 strike outs and a 12.00 ERA.  I mailed to Gilliford on September 19 and got the card back on October 21, for a 32-day TAT.

TTM Success - Tanner Peters

When I went through my box of early 2010s prospect cards, I stopped on this 2012 Topps Pro Debut of Tanner Peters.  I loved the mountain in the back, so I found an address and tried sending to him TTM.  I got two of these cards back signed; I had included several extras for him to keep, if he wanted.  He kept three of the cards and sent me back two of them.

Peters (b. 1990) was a 1th round pick by the A's in the 2011 June Amateur Draft out of UNLV.  He played in the minors from 2011 to 2015, reaching AAA (all in the A's system).  He had a record of 16-23 with 302 strike outs and a 3.95 ERA.

I mailed to Peters on October 11 and got the cards back on October 21, for a 10-day TAT.
