TTM Success - Carlos May

For some reason, I had an assortment of Carlos May cards all together on my desk.  I think it was because someone I know had asked for his cards in the past, but I can't remember.  I checked SCN and saw that May signed TTM, so I got a few of the cards and sent them out.  They all came back signed, and I got a few cards out of a stack from my desk.

May (b. 1948) played in the majors from 1968 to 1977 for the White Sox, Yankees and Angels.  He had 1,127 hits, 90 home runs and a .274 batting average.  He was an All Star in 1969 and 1972.  His best MVP finish was 21st (AL, 1972).  He appeared on the 1983 Hall of Fame ballot, but received no votes.

I mailed to May on October 19 and got the cards back on November 17, for a 29-day TAT.

TTM Success - Mike Devaney

A couple more older Bowman cards were added to my autograph album with this TTM success from Mike Devaney.  The above 2007 Bowman Heritage card turned out great.  I enjoyed Bowman Heritage and was happy to see it resurrected a bit a couple years ago.  They always seem to look great when signed, and this one was no different.

I also got this 2007 Bowman signed, and it also turned out really well.  I'm always happy to get these signed and out of my boxes.

Devaney (b. 1982) was a 23rd round pick by the Mets in the 2004 June Amateur Draft out of Concordia University.  He played in the minors from 2004 to 2007, all in the Mets system, reaching AA.  He had a record of 33-18 with 377 strike outs and a 3.24 ERA.

I mailed to Devaney on September 22 and got the cards back on November 16, for a 55-day TAT.

TTM Success - Matt LeCroy

A couple more 1999 Bowmans were removed from their box and added to my autograph album with this TTM success from Matt LeCroy.  The cards turned out great and cleared a tiny little bit of room in that box.  One of these days, I'll be able to condense those boxes down, but that's going to take forever.

Again, the foil card scanned badly, but it looks fine.  You just have to take my word for it.

LeCroy (b. 1975) played in the majors from 2000 to 2007 for the Twins and Nationals.  He had 361 hits, 60 home runs and a .260 batting average.

I mailed to LeCroy on October 22 and got the cards back on November 13, for a 22-day TAT.

TTM Success - Mike Moriarty

Mike Moriarty is an Oriole that I had completely forgotten about.  Nothing against him, but I was still in college during the era in which he played, and don't remember much from those lost seasons.  When I found this card in my box that I got from my good friend, Max, I checked to see if I could get it signed TTM.  I was able to, and the card turned out ok.  I wish Moriarty had used a better marker, but the card is still signed, and will have a spot in my album.

Moriarty (b. 1974) played in the majors in 2002 for the Orioles.  He had 3 hits, no home runs and a .188 batting average.

I mailed to Moriarty on October 19 and got the card back on November 13, for a 25-day TAT.

TTM Success - Mark McLemore

This is the second TTM success that I have gotten from someone named Mark McLemore, but they are two different people.  This McLemore was the one I remembered from my teenage years, and was happy to see that he, too, was signing TTM.  The above 2000 Topps turned out nicely, and adds another of this set to my binder.  For a while, I hadn't added any from this set, but recently, I have added a few.

I also sent McLemore a 1993 Topps, 2001 Topps, 2002 Topps and a 2003 Topps.  All look great, and have been put away.

McLemore (b. 1964) played in the majors from 1986 to 2004 for the Angels, Indians, Astros, Orioles, Rangers, Mariners and A's.  He had 1,602 hits, 53 home runs and a .259 batting average.

I mailed to McLemore on September 13 and got the cards back on November 10, for a 58-day TAT.  I mailed to him via Rangers Stadium.

TTM Success - Justin Bowles

Here are some more 1999 Bowmans that I got signed TTM, this time from Justin Bowles.  The above base card scanned great, but the chrome and foil cards below didn't scan for crap.  That appears to be pretty normal for those, so I just deal with it.

The cards look nice in person, and will be just fine in my album.

Bowles (b. 1973) was a 16th round pick by the A's in the 1996 June Amateur Draft out of Louisiana State University.  He played in the minors from 1996 to 2000, all in the A's system.  He reached AA.  He had 530 hits, 64 home runs and a .290 batting average.

I mailed to Bowles on October 12 and got the cards back on November 6, for a 25-day TAT.

TTM Success - Jim Hughes

A random 1976 Topps card was removed from my TTM box when I finally got around to sending to Jim Hughes.  I enjoy the 1976 set, and adding it to the autograph album.

Hughes (b. 1951) played in the majors from 1974 to 1966 for the Twins.  He had a record of 25-30 with 226 strike outs and a 4.30 ERA.

I mailed to Hughes on October 27 and got the card back on November 6, for a 10-day TAT.
