TTM Success - Travis Hafner

Another card that I found while digging through my boxes was this really cool 2001 Bowmans Best Franchise Futures Travis Hafner.  I added it to my stack of stuff that I really wanted to get signed, and sent it off not too long after.  He signs through PastPros, so I had no problems getting it signed; it was more of waiting until I wanted to pay.  The card turned out great and looks awesome in my album.

Hafner (b. 1977) played in the majors from 2002 to 2013 for the Rangers, Indians and Yankees.  He had 1,107 hits, 213 home runs and a .273 batting average.  His best MVP finish was 5th in 2005.  He appeared on the 2019 Hall of Fame ballot, but received no votes.

I mailed to Hafner via PastPros on October 9 and got the card back on October 22, for a 13-day TAT.

TTM Success - J. R. House

My plan is to catch up on some of my 2017 National Card Show pickups once I get a little free time in the evenings.  Lately, I have been really busy, and haven't had time to sit down and scan more of the cards that I got at the show.  In the meantime, I am going to keep trying to get ahead on my TTMs, but even that has fallen behind.  I'll get there when I get there, I guess.

Luckily, I have been getting in some successes, even though I haven't sent out much lately.  I did get another book of stamps, so I can try to get some stuff in the mail soon.

I got these cards in from JR House recently, the best one being the above 2001 Bowman's Best.  I got this out of a box at my LCS, and it turned out nicely.  He used an old sharpie for the signature, but in the end, it turned out ok.

I also got this 2001 Topps signed by House.  I doubt I will pursue the other two guys, but you never know.  I may give it a shot down the road.

House (b. 1979) played in the majors in 2003 to 2004 and 2006 to 2008 for the Pirates, Astros and Orioles.  He had 10 hits, 3 home runs and a .202 batting average in his career.  I completely forgot he was an Oriole.  His 3 homers came while he was an Oriole in 2007.

I mailed to House on June 12 and got the cards back on August 5, for a 54-day TAT.

TTM Success - Ben Davis

The above 2001 Bowman's Best that I got signed TTM by Ben Davis might be one of the best-looking cards that I have gotten back, so far.  The card looks so great, and Davis signing with a green Sharpie kind of adds to the novelty of the card.  I actually found a few 01 Bowman's Best at my LCS, so I have a couple other guys I can send to.  I hope those come back looking just at nice as this one.

I found these two Bowmans (a paper and chrome) from 1999 at my LCS, as well.  Both of them look great with the green Sharpie.

The 2000 Finest was yet another card from the LCS.  I have now gotten a few of these signed, and they all turn out really nice.  The baby powder helps them out tremendously.  The 2001 Bowman Heritage came from the February card show, and is what got me looking for Davis.  I needed to fill out a 10/$1.00 sale at the show, looked Davis up, and bought the card.  Now it is signed (as well as the others, of course), and will take a spot in my album.

Davis (b. 1977) played in the majors from 1998 to 2004 for the Padres, Mariners and White Sox.  He had 358 hits, 38 home runs and a .237 batting average.

I mailed to Davis on March 8 and got the cards back on May 1, for a 54-day TAT.
