TTM Success - Allen Watson

Here are some more 90s cards I was able to get signed TTM, these being from Allen Watson.  The above 1995 Topps Finest is a highlight.  

I also got a 1995 Donruss and 1998 Topps signed.  Both of these turned out nicely as well.

Watson (b. 1970) played in the majors from 1993 to 2000 for the  Cardinals, Giants, Angels, Mets, Mariners and Yankees.  He had a record of 51-55 with 589 strike outs and a 5.03 ERA.  He won the World Series with the 1999 Yankees, but did not pitch in the series.

I mailed to Watson on October 10 and got the cards back on November 16, for a 37-day TAT. 

Another TTM Success From Jay Bell

There have been quite a few TTM success recently where I went back and got guys I had gotten before.  This was a result of going through a bunch of boxes during the playoffs and amassing a huge stack of guys to send to.  One of them was Jay Bell.  Bell signs a bunch, and has a ton of cool cards.  The above 1992 Donruss Diamond King was a definite highlight.

The above 2000 Bowman and 2001 Upper Deck were some pretty cool cards.  I like how Bowman updated the classic 1955 Bowman TV Set design.  That's one of my all-time favorite sets and adding this with the updated (now, not so updated) design to the autograph album. 

I also got a 1993 Triple Play, 1995 Finest, 1998 Topps and 1999 Topps signed during this TTM request to Bell.

I mailed to Bell on October 11 and got the cards back on November 15, for a 35-day TAT. 

2022 National Free Signer - Tommy Greene

Tommy Greene signed for me TTM back in 2016, but I still had a few cards remaining that I was able to bring with me to this year's National.  He signed the above 1994 Score Gold Rush, as well as a 1993 Finest, 1995 Finest and a 1993 Fleer.

All of the cards turned out great.  I was really glad to get the Finest cards out of my boxes and into m album.  The 1995 Finest, especially, turned out well.  It was in really good shape, even after I removed the protective film.

The VIP signers featured a few guys that I had gotten TTM, but thankfully, I still had cards I could get signed.

2022 National Paid Signer - Jeff Bagwell

This year's National had several signers, who I had cards put aside for that I just wanted to get signed.  One of those cards was this 1995 Topps Finest Total Bases Jeff Bagwell that I pulled out of a box of 1995 Topps a long time ago.  The card kept popping up when I would look through cards, so I decided to try to get it signed some day.  I also wanted to meet Bagwell, so it worked out at this year's National.

Bagwell was really nice, and allowed for me to pose quickly for a selfie.  I don't usually go for the selfies, but I figured I would go for it, especially since it helps for content purposes.

I was glad to get the card signed, even though it didn't scan all that well.  Bagwell, himself, liked the card, so that was cool.

TTM Success - Brett Butler

I got a bunch of great 90s cards in this TTM success from Brett Butler.  The above 1998 Score is one of the best horizontal shots that I have been able to get TTM, and I am really happy about it.  I don't recall opening up very many packs of 1998 Score, but the more I see cards from that set, the more I appreciate it.

The 1995 Finest turned out really nice, even though it didn't scan all that well.  I'm also loving the Zach Morris phone in the 1997 Donruss.  I also believe this is my first Upper Deck Fun Pack card that I have been able to get signed.  Finally, the 1988 Topps Traded is one of the best of Butler's line of Topps cards.

I also got a 1982 Topps card showing the Braves Future Stars signed.  I don't know if I will go for the other two guys, but I do believe Bedrosian signs, so I may give it a shot.

Butler (b. 1957) played in the majors from 1981 to 1997 for the Braves, Indians, Giants, Dodgers and Mets.  He had 2,375 hits, 54 home runs and a .290 batting average.  He was an All Star in 1991 and received MVP votes in six seasons (finishing as high as 7th in 1991).  Butler appeared on the 2003 Hall of Fame ballot and received 0.4% of the vote.  His 558 career stolen bases rank 25th all-time.

I mailed to Butler on November 8 and got the cards back on January 13, for a 66-day TAT.
