TTM Success - Tadahito Iguchi

Another TTM success came in from Japan, this time, from Tadahito Iguchi.  I got another 2007 Topps Turkey Red signed, and it turned out great.  I like this set, and the cards always turn out well.
I also got a 2006 UD Special FX, 2006 Topps Chrome, 2008 UD First Edition and a 2008 Upper Deck signed.

Iguchi (b. 1974) played in the majors from 2005 to 2008 for the White Sox, Phillies and Padres.  He had 494 hits, 44 home runs and a .268 batting average.  He finished 4th in the AL Rookie of the Year voting in 2005 and also won the World Series that season with the White Sox.

I mailed to Iguchi on March 5 and got the cards back on April 20, for a 46-day TAT.  I had included $5 for return postage, but Iguchi sent my money back.

Another TTM Success From Javy Lopez

It always happens.  When I'm looking for a card, I don't find it.  When I'm not looking for it, the card is right in front of me.  That's what happened with this 2006 Topps Chrome black refractor.  I knew I had this card, but when the first Javy Lopez signing came along, I couldn't find it.  Once I sent in the backup cards that I had, this card suddenly popped up.  It ended up working out, because the promoter did another Javy signing right after the first one.  So, this card got sent and came back looking amazing.

I mailed to the signing on November 2 and got the card back on November 13, for an 11-day TAT.  I paid a fee of $25.00.

COMC Pickup - 2006 Topps Chrome Brian Roberts Black Parallel

Numbered 391/549, I got this 2006 Topps Chrome black parallel off of COMC for $0.55.  Not bad for a black refractor.  I always liked 2006 Topps.  It is the first issue of Topps that I was around for in its debut since i got back into collecting in 2005.  I got back in the middle of 2005, so I wasn't there for the debut of '05 Topps.  It was kind of plain anyway.  2006 was really cool because of the more complex borders, etc.  It kind of stands out in the mid 2000s set offerings in my opinion, and it looks really good in the Chrome variety.

I need to go back and take a look through my 2006 set and see the names that showed up in there.  I can't even begin to name off any of the good rookies in there, with the exception of the oddball Alex Gordon card/non card that popped up.

Now, this card itself, looks really cool with the black and orange and matching up with Roberts's uniform.  I'm enjoying this card quite a bit for sure.  Especially for 55 cents!
