TTM Success - Gary Sheffield

Adding a card from 1997 Pinnacle Zenith to the autograph album is always a good thing. This is definitely one of my favorite sets. I had seen that Gary Sheffield was doing a signing, so I knew I had to get his card signed.

The shot on the card is really great, and it looks great signed. I had other Sheffield cards, but none could pass this one.

Sheffield (b. 1968) played in the majors from 1988 to 2009 for the Brewers, Padres, Marlins, Dodgers, Braves, Yankees, Tigers and Mets. He had 2,689 hits, 509 home runs and a .292 batting average. He was a 9-time All Star (1992, 1993, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2003, 2004 and 2005. His best MVP finish was 2nd (2004, AL). He was a 5-time Silver Slugger Award winner. He won the World Series in 1997 with the Marlins. He fell off of the Hall of Fame ballot in 2024, where he received his most votes (63.9%), but failed to reach 75% required for induction. 

I mailed to the signing on October 31 and got the card back on December 12, for a 42-day TAT. I paid a fee of $65.00.
