TTM Success - Chris Bando

I finished this Indians Leaders card for my 1987 Topps set by sending off to Chris Bando via PastPros.  I had a couple of the unsigned cards out to a friend of mine in Arizona for signature, bur I held back the one I had already gotten signed by Jack Aker.  I sent it off to Phil Niekro and got it back pretty fast (sent on January 28 and got the card back on February 2, for a 5-day TAT) and included a $20.00 fee.
I also knocked out Bando's base card, so this was a really successful TTM submission.

Bando (b. 1956) played in the majors from 1981 to 1989 for the Indians, Tigers and A's.  He had 292 hits, 27 home runs and a .227 batting average.

I mailed to Bando on February 11 and got the cards back on February 22, for an 11-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Phil Niekro

Because I needed Phil Niekro for my 1987 Topps set, I decided to spent the money and send to him again.  I had gotten him on a baseball a long time ago, so this is actually my second TTM success from him.
I like the almost 20-year difference between the two cards I sent, a 1968 Topps and the 1987.  I also picked up another Niekro baseball at the National as an upgrade to the one I had, since that was a China ball which has since faded.

I mailed to Niekro on May 25 and got the cards back on June 1, for a 7-day TAT.  I paid his fee of $20/card.

Hall of Fame TTM Success - Phil Niekro

I got my 32nd TTM success and my 47th hall of fame signed baseball on Friday, September 9, 2011 from former Atlanta Brave Phil Niekro.

Niekro played from 1964 to 1987 for the Braves, Yankees, Indians and Blue Jays and had a career record of 318-274, 3,342 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.35.  He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1997 (his 5th ballot).

I mailed to Niekro on August 29 and got the ball back on September 9, making him an 11-day TAT (but this might have been shorter had I not sent so close to the Labor Day holiday).  He signs for a fee of $20 for baseballs and inscribed my ball with his HOF induction year.  Pretty nice signature, too.
