This 1964 Topps was in great shape, so I was really glad when it came back with a nice, clean signature. It really is a great looking card.
Aspromonte (b. 1931) played in the majors from 1957 to 1963 for the Red Sox, Senators, Indians, Angels, Braves and Cubs. He had 369 hits, 19 home runs and a .249 batting average.
He managed the Indians from 1972 to 1974 to a record of 220-260 (.458 win %). He was succeeded by Frank Robinson.
I mailed to Aspromonte on January 19 and got the cards back on January 31, for a 12-day TAT. He also included a signed post card.
