Preston Ward (b. 1927) played in the majors from 1948, 1950 and 1953-1959 for the Dodgers, Cubs, Pirates, Indians and A's. he retired with 522 hits, 50 home runs and an average of .253. This card is pretty beat up, but it is a definite example that they are coming from my collection. I was able to build this set by not crying over condition. I'll probably upgrade this card sometime, but for now, it works just fine.

Condition be damned. Sweet vintage greatness and the feel of real, authentic cardboard are all that matter.
