Ellis Kinder (b. 1914 - d. 1968) played in the majors from 1946 to 1957 for the Browns, Red Sox, Cardinals and White Sox. He had a career record of 102-71 with 749 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.43. He went 23 - 6 in 1949. He died at the age of 54 after undergoing open heart surgery.(DECEASED 63)
