TTM Success - Jack Lazorko

I had seen Jack Lazorko's name a lot when going through my boxes, so I finally checked and saw that he signed TTM.  I sent off this 1988 Topps and the below 1985 Topps.

Lazorko (b. 1956) played in the majors from 1984 to 1988 for the Brewers, Mariners, Tigers and Angels.  He had a career record of 5-8 with 108 strike outs and a 4.22 ERA.

I mailed to Lazorko on October 22 and got the cards back on November 1, for a 10-day TAT.

TTM Success - Charlie Spikes

I sent off two cards to Charlie Spikes and both came back signed (vertically).  I was looking for some guys that were from the tail end of the 70s and saw that Spike signed.  This 1978 Topps looks really nice.

This 1980 Topps was damaged in transit, but I'm still ok with the card.

Spikes (b. 1951) played in the majors from 1972 to 1980 for the Yankees, Indians, Tigers and Braves.  He had 502 hits, 65 home runs and a .246 batting average.

I mailed to Spikes on October 22 and received the cards back on October 31, for a 9-day TAT.

TTM Success - Tommy Herr

I have his autograph; it was among the first that I ever pulled from a pack.  However, I needed to get Tommy Herr's autograph via TTM so that I could, you guessed it, add it to my 1987 set.  Herr signs multiples, so I added several other Topps issues to the request, and came away very happy.

The above 1990 Topps looked really nice, once it was signed.

I also asked him to sign the 1984 and 1988 to go along with the 87.

Herr (b. 1956) played in the majors from 1979 to 1991 for the Cardinals, Twins, PhilliesMets and Giants.  He had 1,450 hits, 28 home runs and a .271 batting average.  He was an All Star in 1985, the same season he had his best MVP finish (5th).  He won the World Series with the Cardinals in 1982.

I mailed to Herr on October 22 and got the cards back on October 30, for an 8-day TAT.

TTM Success - Neil Allen

Another private signing on SCN landed me this card for my 1987 set.  This Neil Allen card turned out really nicely.  As of the TTMs that came in yesterday, I am at 361 total cards for my set.  I'm really knocking them out.  I know it'll slow down sometime soon, but I really hope to be over 400 in the coming months.

Allen (b. 1958) played in the majors from 1979 to 1989 for the Mets, Cardinals, Yankees, White Sox and Indians.  He had a career record of 58-70 with 611 strike outs and a 3.88 ERA.

I mailed to the private signing on October 3 and got the card back on October 29, for a 26-day TAT.  I paid a fee of $29.00.

TTM Success - Lee Lacy

I needed Lee Lacy for my 1987 set, so I finally got around to sending to him via PastPros.  I had a bunch of other cards that I wanted to send, so I went ahead and sent them all.  This 1975 Topps came out of one of the first deals I made with Max a while ago.

I really liked the colors on his 1976 Topps, and also that his 1988 was an Orioles cards, so that's why I sent those along as well.

Lacy (b. 1948) played in the majors from 1972 to 1987 for the Dodgers, Braves, Pirates and Orioles.  He had 1,303 hits, 91 home runs and a .286 batting average.  He won the 1979 World Series with the Pirates.

I mailed to Lacy on October 22 and got the cards back on October 29, for a 7-day TAT.  I paid $5/card.

TTM Success - Bernie Carbo

I added some 70s cards with this TTM success from Bernie Carbo.  I had to wait a while for the cards to come in, but when they finally did, they looked pretty great.

The cards I sent were 1972, 1973 and 1974 Topps.  I don't have many 1974s left over to send out for TTMs, so I may have to find some in the future.

Carbo (b. 1947) played in the majors from 1969 to 1980 for the Reds, Cardinals, Red Sox, Brewers, Indians and Pirates.  He had 722 hits, 96 home runs and a .264 batting average.

I mailed to Carbo on September 10 and got the cards back on October 29, for a 49-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Ron Kittle

When I sent a TTM request to Ron Kittle back in April of 2016, I wasn't working on the 1987 Topps set.  So, I had to send to him again.  I got my 1987 Topps signed, and also another card that I wanted to add to my album.

I had to dig for this 1991 Fleer, but I was able to get Kittle on an Orioles card.  I hadn't seen another Orioles Kittle, so this one it pretty cool.  I am also one of the rare people who like the 1991 Fleer set.  I love the color, and also the lettering and black lines.  To me, it is just a sharp set.  Some folks don't care for the yellow.

I sent to Kittle on October 10 and got the cards back on October 27, for a 17-day TAT.
