TTM Success - Sean Cheetham

I pulled a couple older Winston-Salem minor league cards from one of the boxes I got from my former LCS and put them aside to see if I could get them signed TTM.  This card of Sean Cheetham was one that I was able to get done, and it looks good.  I like seeing the old ads in the background.

Cheetham (b. 1971) was a 4th round pick in the 1990 June Amateur Draft by the Cubs out of Woodbridge High School in Virginia.  He pitched in the minors from 1990 to 1992, reaching high A ball.  He had a record of 10-13 with 151 strike outs and a 4.52 ERA.

I mailed to Cheetham on December 1 and got the card back on December 11, for a 10-day TAT.

TTM Success - Gar Finnvold

I had Gar Finnvold's cards in my to be TTMed box probably as long as I have had the box.  I just kept passing over his cards until I finally got around to sending to him.  I'm glad I did, because the cards I got signed were nice ones.  The above 1995 Score rookie card turned out really well.
I also got his 1992 Classic, 1995 Donruss and 1995 Topps signed.

Finnvold (b. 1968) pitched in 8 games for the Red Sox in 1994.  He went 0-4 with 17 strike outs and a 5.94 ERA.  He was a 6th round pick by the Red Sox in the 1990 June Amateur Draft.

I mailed to Finnvold on September 11 and got the cards back on September 21, for a 10-day TAT.

TTM Success - Joe Rosselli

Yeah, 1995 Fleer gets a bad rap.  It is the freakiest set out there, and it gives you a headache for sure.  Still, I'm a big fan of getting the cards signed.  There's just something about how they look when signed.  I got the above 1995 Fleer signed TTM by Joe Rosselli recently.  This was the card that made me look him up to see if he signed, and it sat in my box for a long time while I built a request around it.  I somehow accumulated other Rosselli cards without even trying, really, and finally sent them out.
I got Rosselli's 1992 Classic Best, 1993 CLassic Best, 1993 Bowman and 1994 Fleer Ultra signed, as well.

Rosselli (b. 1972) played in the majors in 1995 for the Giants.  He went 2-1 with 7 strike outs and a 8.70 ERA.

I mailed to Rosselli on August 12 and got the cards back on September 12, for a 31-day TAT.

TTM Success - Russ Davis

Here are some nice 90s cards that I was able to get signed TTM by Russ Davis.  Ok, some 90s and one 2000.  Anyway, the above 1995 Collectors Choice SE turned out pretty great, I think.
I had a ton of Davis cards, and had to narrow it down to just 4 to send to him, so I went with cards and sets that were underrepresented in my albums.  Not bad choices, I think.

Davis (b. 1969) played in the majors from 1994 to 2001 for the Yankees, Mariners and Giants.  He had 508 hits, 84 home runs and a .257 batting average.

I mailed to Davis on July 20 and got the cards back on July 30, for a 10-day TAT.

TTM Success - William Van Landingham

This is a TTM request that I held onto for quite a while, because I had the above 1996 Collectors Choice gold signature somewhere, but could not locate it.  Finally, I found the card in one of my boxes and sent the request out to William Van Landingham.
Van Landingham signed everything with a purple Sharpie, which turned out pretty nice.  It is a different choice, but I'm ok with it.
I had a bunch of his cards to choose from, which made it tough to narrow ir down to just a few to send out.
This 1994 Flair Wave of the Future might be the best looking one of them all, though.  I just think it looks really nice with the red background.

Van Landingham (b. 1970) played in the majors from 1994 to 1997 for the Giants.  He had a career record of 27-26 with a 4.54 ERA and 300 strike outs.  He finished 7th in the 1994 NL Rookie of the Year voting.

I mailed to Van Landingham on July 14 and got the cards back on August 10, for a 27-day TAT.

TTM Success - Pokey Reese

I was able to get several cards signed TTM from a player who retired more recently than most of the guys that I have sent to in Calvin "Pokey" Reese.  Reese has a really nice signature, as seen on the above 2003 Topps.  Actually, this 2003 Topps might be one of the best looking cards I have gotten back TTM.  It looks so awesome!
Reese ended up signing 6 cards for me, some of which will help me with my Topps Autograph project, and two others that I just thought would look nice signed.  The above 1992 Classic Minors card was one that I have had forever, probably since 1992, and I just had to include it in the TTM request.  It turned out really nice, and now I will have one of these in my album.
I had Topps cards from three other years that Reese signed for me, but I was able to add from 1999, 2000 and 2002.  I also had this 1998 Collectors Choice, and it turned out really great as well.

Reese (b. 1973) played in the majors from 1997 to 2004 for the Reds, Pirates and Red Sox.  Reese was also a member of the Colorado Rockies for a day when he was traded from the Reds to the Rockies  then from the Rockies to the Red Sox.  Two days after that, he was granted free agency, then signed with the Pirates.  He had 704 hits, 44 home runs and an average of .248.  He was a Gold Glove Award winner in 1999 and 2000 while with the Reds.  He won a World Series in 2004 with the Red Sox.

I mailed to Reese on March 28 and got the cards back on May 2, for  a 35-day TAT.
