TTM Success - Scott Lewis

For some reason, 2009 cards are vastly underrepresented in my autograph album. I believe that is because I offloaded a bunch of that stuff at past shows. In hindsight, I probably should have kept some of it, but at the time, I wasn't getting cards signed. Oh well. I added two 2009 cards to my autograph album with this TTM success from Scott Lewis. He signed this 2009 Topps Crome and a 2009 Allen & Ginter.
Lewis (b. 1983) played in the majors from 2008 to 2009 for the Indians. He had a 4-0 record, 18 strike outs and a 3.49 ERA.

I mailed to Lewis on March 28 and got the cards back on May 31, for a 63-day TAT.

TTM Success - Josh Outman

I added some nice cards to the album when I got this TTM success back from former pitcher, Josh Outman.  I don't have many 2009 Chrome, so being able to get one signed was nice.
I do have quite a few 2009 Topps Heritage, but they look great, and I had one of Outman's, so I got it done, too.
He also signed a 2009 Bowman Chrome and a 2010 Topps.

Outman (b. 1984) shares a birthday with me, which is cool.  He pitched in the majors in 2008 and 2009, and from 2011 to 2014 for the A's, Rockies, Indians and Yankees.  He had a career record of 16-11 with 226 strike outs and a 4.43 ERA.

I mailed to Outman on May 8 and got the cards back on May 29, for a 21-day TAT.

Christmas Gift From Michael S.

I got a nice surprise package in the mail recently from my friend, Michael S. from Instagram.  He and I both have been really busy lately, and haven't chatted much, which I regret.  I have some cards for him, but I have been waiting to ship once I find some more stuff to add to the pile.

Michael really surprised me with what he included in the package.  I had never seen the above 2006 Bowman Originals Nolan Reimold auto.  It is hand numbered and comes in a sealed snap case.  They don't scan very well, but that's ok.  I loved the Bowman Heritage when it came out.  I feel like it may be time for Topps to go back to the well with Bowman Heritage.
Michael included this 2009 Topps Chrome Nolan Reimold auto as well.  I have a couple already, but since I super collect Nolan, I will take duplicates of his relics and autos at any time.
Michael added this 2008 Donruss Diamond Kings Reimold auto.  The card looks really awesome and is numbered 149/500.  I always liked Diamond Kings, when they were their own standalone product, and when they were inserts in Donruss products.  They always look awesome.
Finally, Michael included this 1/1 sketch card.  I have actually seen this one on Ebay from time to time.  I never jumped on it, though.  Now that I have this in my hands, I'm really impressed with the art of it.  The guy is really talented, that's for sure.  I used to do a good bit of artwork when I was younger and always struggled when drawing people.  This guy really nailed it, I think.

Thanks so much for the Christmas care package, Michael.  I really appreciate it and am happy to add all of these cards to my collection!

Christmas From Drew - 2009 Topps Chrome Nolan Reimold Auto

I got an awesome Christmas present from my good friend, Drew, that I opened today when I got home from my whirlwind tour of NC.  This is a Reimold RC auto that I still needed in my PC.  I have his base auto, blue, red and gold autos.  I'm doing really well on that rainbow now.

This card is numbered 30/50 and looks awesome!  I have posted my Reimold PC on my Google docs spreadsheet, so you all can go check it out on my wishlist.

Thanks so much for the gift, Drew!  I really appreciate it!

Instagram Trade With Joey - 2009 Topps Chrome Nolan Reimold Red Parallel

I got a sweet PC addition in the mail today from my friend Joey (@beantownbreaks) from Instagram.  He specifically picked this Nolan Reimold for me because we had agreed to a trade a while back for a card he was scheduled to get in, but the guy he was getting it from never sent.  So, I have been holding the stuff he was interested in, in hopes that he could find something else comparable for trade.  He finally got a piece when he found this 21/25 Reimold that I needed for my collection.

I already have the refractor and blue autographs, and now I have this red parallel.  The gold parallels have been selling for ridiculous prices, so I doubt I will see one of those any time soon.  I'm just glad to have the red out of the way.

Thanks for the deal, Joey.  I plan on shipping to you tomorrow.

Ebay Pickup - 2009 Topps Brian Roberts Chrome Red Refractor

Here is yet another PC addition that I got off of Ebay recently.  This one is the 2009 Topps Chrome red refractor.  Again, with it being a red refractor, it really pops off of the page.

I don't recall opening too many packs of Topps Chrome from 2009, which is a shame because I was a real fan of the base set that year.  I just saw this card on Ebay and decided that I wanted to add it to my collection, especially since I was able to get it pretty cheaply ($4.99).  The card is numbered 21/25.  Not a bad price for a card that is serial numbered to 25.

Mail From Scott

Wow what a day.  I got home late from work to find a TON of mail.  I got a box from my mom, a bunch of Nolan Reimold cards I got off of Ebay, a Brooks Robinson card from Ebay and a few 1963 Fleer for a friend of mine.  When I logged on to my blog, I found that I had increased my followers by three.  Really good day!

The biggest piece of mail I got was a box from my new friend Scott.  I met Scott at my last card show in Raleigh in December.  I sold him some relics and autos and struck up a conversation.  He has just started his own blog, which you all should follow: Mr. Baseball-Scott.
Scott recently had the privilege of meeting Orioles Center Fielder Adam Jones and was awesome enough to get a ball signed for me.  I can't believe he was generous enough to get this ball signed for me, and I didn't even have to send him a ball!
In addition to the ball, Scott also threw in a few cards.  I have liked Jim Thome for a long time, so this Fleer Thome is really awesome.
Scott sent me this 2009 Topps Chrome Refractor Nolan Reimold for my Reimold PC.  I now have his Blue Chrome auto, his refractor auto and his refractor.  I am adding a bunch of Reimolds lately!
Another card Scott sent is this 2011 Topps Missing Cards 1955 Topps Bob Feller.  I like this card for two reasons, one is that I LOVE 1955 Topps. The other is that I think Bob Feller is one of the greatest pitchers of all time.  I'm more than happy to add this to my Feller PC.

Thanks so much Scott!  It has been a real pleasure introducing you to the blogs and trading with you!

Trade With Eutaw Street Cardboard

I completed a trade with Kirk over at Eutaw Street Cardboard when I tried to help him knock an Oriole off of his needs list of autographs.  I traded him a card that, originally, I really liked, but over time, I couldn't bear to look at it anymore.  I'm talking about my Sweet Spot Classic Luis Aparicio Autograph.  Upper Deck really crapped the bed with those, issuing cards that would ultimate fade and become unbearable to look at.  I have a Wade Boggs/Cal Ripken dual auto from that set that is fading just the same and it really makes me mad because that was an amazing card, when I got it...

I sent Kirk a scan of the card and told him I didn't want to fleece him over it, but he agreed to send me this card in exchange for it:
A 2009 Topps Chrome Blue Refractor Nolan Reimold Autograph.  I really appreciated this card!  I have two of Nolan's base autos from 2009 Topps Chrome, but I didn't have this one.  I will definitely have to get more of his parallels from this set.  My Nolan Reimold PC is really taking shape.  I'm going to concentrate on him more seriously this year since Roberts is likely to be out this season.

Thanks for the trade Kirk.  I really appreciate you doing the deal and I hope to trade with you again in the future.

Speaking of trades, I have added a bunch of stuff to my for trade page.  I really want to flip a lot of stuff for new Orioles cards and inserts.  If you see anything on there, please feel free to email me!
