TTM Success - Debbie Harry

When I saw that lead singer of Blondie, Debbie Harry, was signing TTM, I wasn't sure what to send.  Obviously, I wanted to have her sign a checklist from 87 Topps to help fill out another page of celebrities.  I wanted to send something else, so I went with a New York theme, since Blondie is considered a New York band.  I was able to get the above 2008 Upper Deck Piece of History Statue of Liberty card out of my box.
The above 2020 Allen and Ginter Steinway Tower "Reach For The Sky" insert was another cool one to send out.  Also shown above is the 87 checklist that she signed.  It has no significance or tie to Harry or Blondie other than she was active in 87 and it will be another celebrity card for that album.

Harry (b. 1945) is a singer, songwriter and actress.  She has been with Blondie since their formation in 1974.  The band is known for hits such as Heart of Glass, Call Me, Rapture, Atomic and The Tide is High.  She also appeared in movies: Videodrome, Hairspray, Body Bags, Tales From the Darkside - The Movie and Elegy.

I mailed to Harry on January 23, 2023, and got the cards back on July 26, 2025, for a 915-day TAT.

TTM Success - Hanley Ramirez

When I saw a private signing pop up for Hanley Ramirez, I got really excited for some reason.  He was never one of my favored players, but I did know that I had some nice cards of his that I would like to get signed.  So, I joined the signing with the intention of getting a card done, and ended up sending two.  I also sent one for my good friend, Gerard.
Both of the cards I sent turned out nicely.  The 2007 Turkey Red (top) may be completed someday with Jose Bautista, but for now, it is in my album.  The above 2008 Piece of History blue parallel was a nice find in my box and also looks great in my album.

Ramirez (b. 1983) played in the majors from 2005 to 2019 for the Red Sox, Marlins Dodgers and Indians.  He had 1,834 hits, 271 home runs and a .289 batting average.  He was the 2009 NL batting champion and a three-time All Star (2008, 2009 and 2010).  He was the 2006 NL Rookie of the Year.  His best MVP finish was 2nd (2009; NL).

I mailed to the signing on November 14 and got the cards back on March 13, for a 119-day TAT.  I paid a fee of $50.00/card (I think).

TTM Success - Adm. James Winnefeld Jr.

I have been trying to get some of my non-baseball cards out of my boxes and find a way to get them signed.  I've been pretty successful on a few of them.  A lot of them require being creative and finding a way to tie the card into the person signing it.  The above 2008 Upper Deck Piece of History was actually an easy one to figure out.  I went with finding a former commanding officer of the USS Enterprise and sent it off to James Winnefeld, Jr.

Winnefeld (b. 1956) is a retired US Navy Admiral who was the 17th commanding officer of the USS Enterprise.  He led Enterprise on her 18th deployment which included combat in Afghanistan immediately following the September 11, 2001 attacks.  Winnefeld was the recipient of 3 Defense Distinguished Service Medals,  Navy Distinguished Service Medal, Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (twice), Bronze Star Medal and a Canadian Meritous Service Cross.

I mailed to Winnefeld on November 16 and got the card back on December 18, for a 32-day TAT.

TTM Success - Mark Teahen

I was really glad to get a bunch of these late 2000s cards signed TTM from Mark Teahen.  I have a ton of this kind of stuff, and would love to get more of it signed, but players from that time-frame don't sign a lot of TTM.  This 2007 Turkey Red is definitely one of the types of cards that I really wanted in my autograph album.  It turned out really well with Teahen's signature.
I also added a 2005 Upper Deck, 2008 Piece of History and a 2007 Finest.  They al turned out well, I think.  Piece of History was an interesting set that I opened quite a bit of when I was at the old card shop.

Teahen (b. 1981) played in the majors from 2005 to 2011 for the Royals, White Sox and Blue Jays.  He had 759 hits, 67 home runs and a .264 batting average.

I mailed to him on February 11 and got the cards back on February 26, for a 15-day TAT.

TTM Success - Rob Johnson

I got some late 2000s, early 2010s cards back signed from Rob Johnson with this TTM success.  I really liked the 2008 UD Piece of History that I was able to get signed.  I didn't have any of these in my album, yet, so I was glad to get one out of the way.
I also had a 2010 Topps Update and a 2008 Upper Deck that I got signed.  All of the cards turned out really nice.

Johnson (b. 1982) played in the majors from 2007 to 2013 for the Mariners, Padres, Mets and Cardinals.  He had 147 hits, 8 home runs and a .200 batting average.

I mailed to Johnson on August 7 and got the cards back on September 9, for a 33-day TAT.
