Another TTM Success From Tony Perez

Finally some of the cards from private signings that I signed up for from September to November are coming in.  For one reason or another four or five of the signings have all been delayed.  One of them, the above card from Tony Perez, finally came in the other day.  

I wanted to complete this 2010 Topps Reds Franchise History card after I got it signed by Johnny Bench last August. The signing with Perez came up soon after, and now that the card is complete, it was well worth the wait.

I sent the card off on November 17 and got the card back on March 2, for a 106-day TAT. I paid a fee of $40 to complete the card.

TTM Success - George Lauzerique

Here is another vintage Topps card that I added to the autograph album when it finally came back from George Lauzerique.  The card was delayed when USPS did a RTS on my return envelope.  The envelope had my address on the sender AND return sections. I don't know how long it sat at USPS, but it amazes me that they slapped the yellow label of shame on the envelope. Come on guys.

Lauzerique (b. 1947) played in the majors from 1967 to 1970 for the Kansas City and Oakland A's, and the Brewers.  He had a record of 4-8 with 73 strike outs and a 5.00 ERA.  

I mailed to Lauzerique on December 7 and got the card back on March 2, for an 86-day TAT.

TTM Success - Jon Niese

As the season approaches, I've had to go through a bunch of boxes to prepare for graphing and 50/50s.  Every time I do this, I check and see if players I come across are signing.  I was pleasantly surprised to see that Jon Niese is now signing, so I pulled a few of his cards and dropped them in the mail. The above 2009 Goudey turned out great.  I haven't sent one of these off in a while, so it was nice to get one out of that box and into the album.

I also found two Topps Heritage cards (2011 and 2016) and sent them along.

Niese (b. 1986) played in the majors from 2008 to 2016 for the Mets and Pirares.  He had a record of 69-68 with 914 strike outs and a 4.07 ERA.

I mailed to Niese on February 13 and got the cards back on February 29, for a 16-day TAT. 

Another TTM Success From Frank Reberger

Another early 70s card was added to the autograph album when I sent another TTM request to Frank Reberger.  I can't remember if Ryan gave me this one or if it came from Conrad's boxes. Still, it's a nice card and now resides in the album.

I mailed to Reberger on February 15 and got the card back on February 27, for a 12-day TAT. 

TTM Success - Matt Merullo

These Matt Merullo cards from the Junk Wax era had been held for a while in my to-be-TTMed box because I knew I had more that I could send to him. I finally got into my 1992 Toppa box and pulled that cards and sent this lot out.  I especially like the 1992 Fleer that I got signed.  I used to have a ton of these, but let a lot of them go.

I also got his 1990 Score, 1992 Donruss, 1992 Stadium Club and the 1992 Topps signed. 

Merullo (b. 1965) played in the majors in 1989 and from 1991 to 1995 for the White Sox, Indians and Twins.  He had 116 hits, 7 home runs and a .234 batting average. 

I mailed to Merullo on January 22 and got the cards back on February 27, for a 36-day TAT. 

TTM Success - Mark Brunell

While I was going through some boxes a couple weeks ago, I found this cool 1996 Collectors Choice showing Mark Brunell scoring the first win in franchise history for the Jacksonville Jaguars.  I saw that Brunell signed TTM with a $5.00 fee, so I dropped the card in the mail.

Brunell (b. 1970) played professionally from 1994 to 2011 for the Packers, Jaguars, Redskins, Saints and Jets.  He had a total of 32,072 passing yards with 184 touchdowns. He was part of the Super Bowl XLIV (2009 season) Champion New Orleans Saints.

I mailed to Brunell on January 22 and got the card back on February 27, for a 36-day TAT. 

TTM Success - Steve Scarsone

Here are some mid-90s Junk Wax Era cards that I got signed TTM by Steve Scarsone.  Above is a 1994 Topps Stadium Club, which is always fun due to the old label maker font.  These have really grown on me over the years. 

I also got a 1993 Donruss, showing Scarsone with the Orioles, and a 1994 Score.

Scarsone (b. 1966) played in the majors from 1992 to 1997 and 1999 for the Phillies, Orioles, Giants, Cardinals and Royals.  He had 198 hits, 20 home runs and a .239 batting average. I mailed to Scarsone on February 1 and got the cards back on February 26, for a 25-day TAT.
