Chris Davis Mail From Judson

I got a surprise care package from my friend and fellow blogger, Judson.  Judson writes the blog "My Cardboard Habit" and has been a good friend for several years, now.  He surprised me with two really nice Chris Davis cards.
Judson sent along the Davis commemorative coin card and this 2015 Gypsy Queen mini framed relic.  I really like the cards, and I appreciate the thought, Judson!

Thank you so much for the surprise care package.

Christmas Gift From Judson

I got an awesome Christmas care package a few weeks ago from fellow blogger Judson (My Cardboard Habit).  In the package was a bunch of really cool Orioles cards that I needed.  The above Cal Ripken coin card is really cool, and one that I hadn't seen before.  It is a nice (and heavy) card that I can add to the Cal PC.
Judson included two Christian Walker chrome autos, one of which is the above refractor numbered 92/499.  This card itself is really nice in person.  I'm not sure what will happen with Walker, but I still like him.
This pink parallel of Delmon Young is a really cool addition.  Take away the fact that Young has perennial anger issues and has made terrible life choices, his double in the 2014 playoffs will go down as one of the most memorable games I have ever attended.  It appears that the double is depicted on this card, and I think that is really awesome.  That make three cards that I know of that show photos from games I was at (the Mark Reynolds SP from a few years ago [2013 Topps, I think] and a Brian Roberts from 2006 Upper Deck).  This card is numbered 19/50.

Thanks for the package, Judson!

Surprise Care Package From Judson

I got a surprise care package in the mail the other day from my friend, Judson.  In the package was a lot of awesome Orioles cards that I needed including the above 2015 Gypsy Queen Chris Davis relic.  I needed the Davis for my PC and was perilously close to buying one but passed in order to get some parallels from Bowman instead.  I'm glad I held off, because Judson hooked me up.  The card looks great.  I am a fan of this year's GQ; I wish I had the funds to get a box, but I need to save for the National.
Judson also sent along this 2014 Bowman Chrome Brian Gonzalez auto.  Gonzalez was the Orioles' first pick in the 2014 draft (round 3) and has been ok so far in the minors.  He was picked out of high school and is currently pitching at Low A Delmarva.  He is 3-4 with a 5.20 ERA so far this season.

Thanks for the care package, Judson!  It was greatly appreciated!

Christmas Gift From Judson - 2014 Bowman Chrome Brian Gonzalez Blue Auto

I'm still writing about Christmas gifts as we pull into March.  That is a pretty cool testament to the group that we call the Card Community.  I have met so many folks in this community and was able to send out something like 27 care packages and gifts for Christmas.  I think I really may have topped 30, but I honestly lost count.  It doesn't matter, though, because I really just enjoyed sending out cards that I thought some of my fellow collectors would enjoy.

One of the people that I have traded with the most sent me this really awesome 2014 Bowman Chrome auto of Brian Gonzalez.  Judson, from the blog "My Cardboard Habit", sent this card to me.  I was really happy to get it because I had nothing of Gonzalez in my collection at the time.  Gonzalez was the Orioles first pick (third round) out of the 2014 amateur draft.

The card is numbered 51/150 and looks really awesome.  I am very thankful for the gift, Judson!

Trade With Judson - Tons of Awesome Stuff

I completed a trade with Judson, from the blog "My Cardboard Habit" when I sent him a bunch of Rangers stuff, including a Rougned Odor auto, in exchange for some really awesome stuff.  Judson sent a bunch of parallels I needed for various PCs, which I didn't scan.  What I did scan was this really cool Brooks Robinson silk rc from 2014 Topps.  I have had a bunch of folks offer this to me at ridiculous prices, and I am glad that I held off buying one.  I figured I would get one via trade eventually.
One of the parallel cards Judson included was this Nelson Cruz 2014 Topps Chrome gold parallel.  Cruz is likely out of Baltimore after just this one season, but he had a great year with the Birds, and I probably will passively pick up a few of his cards here and there.
Finally, Judson also helped a little with some set needs.  He included 9 1969 Topps cards for my set.  Most of them being high numbers.  I haven't pushed as hard for this set, since I have been majorly focused on my 1959 set, but I am still chipping away at this one as time and money allow.

Thanks for the deal, and all of the extras, Judson!

Mail From Judson - 2014 Topps Pink Chris Davis

October is breast cancer awareness month, so it is kind of fitting that a pink card is the highlight of the night.  Ladies, make sure you get checked and checked often.

I got this really awesome Chris Davis 2014 Topps pink parallel from my friend, Judson recently.  The card is numbered 7/50.  I owe Judson a card in return, and I think I have found him just the thing.  I will be shipping to him early next week, I'm hoping.

Thanks so much for this pink parallel, Judson, I've been wanting one for a while, but haven't jumped on it, and now I don't have to!
