Hairston Brothers Signing With Jackson

When friends of mine message me and ask me to find all the cards I can find of a player, I actually really enjoy it.  It helps me move cards out of my boxes and almost always ensures that I will get a few back signed.  They aren't always free, but st least at some reduced rates.

My friend, Jackson, messaged me asking if I had any Scott Hairstons that I could send him, and I was able to find him quite a few.  After the initial package was sent, I found this 2013 Topps Update pink parallel in one of my plastic bins.  I was able to get the card to him before the signing, and got it back into my collection afterward.
I had no problem participating in Jackson's signing, so I went ahead and paid $20 to get the pink parallel and 3 other cards back, a 2012 Topps, 2013 Topps and 2013 Topps Update.

Hairston (b. 1980) played in the majors from 2004 to 2014 for the Diamondbacks, Padres, A's, Mets, Cubs and Nationals.  He had 589 hits, 106 home runs and a .242 batting average.
Jackson also had a signing going on for Jerry Hairston, and I missed the cutoff date to send anything in.  Jackson had leftovers, so I picked up two of the extra cards he ended up with.  The above card is a 2002 Topps 206 and the below card is a 2004 Bowman Heritage.
Hairston (b. 1976) played in the majors from 1998 to 2013 for the Orioles, Cubs, Rangers, Reds, Yankees, Padres, Nationals, Brewers and Dodgers.  He had 1,126 hits, 70 home runs and a .257 batting average.  He won the World Series with the Yankees in 2009.

The Hairstons are sons of former Major Leaguer, Jerry Hairston, Sr., and grandsons of former Major Leaguer, and Negro Leaguer, Sam Hairston.

More Autos From Jackson T.

My friend, Jackson, used to live in Arizona, but recently moved back to Chicago.  He has now enrolled in school, but still take the time to get cards signed for me when he can.  Recently, he asked me to send him Steve Holm cards, and I obliged.  Jackson was able to get several of them signed for me, and they all turned out well.
In addition to the Holms, Jackson included a couple extra autos, just because.  I really appreciate the gesture, but Jackson didn't have to do that.  He is a really good guy, and I am always glad to send him cards that he can get taken care of for me.

Another Auto From Jackson T.

My friend, Jackson T. messaged me the other day and asked me if I needed Mark Langston for my 1987 Topps set.  I did need him, so Jackson sent this card my way.

Langston (b. 1960) played in the majors from 1984 to 1999 for the Mariners, Expos, Angels, Padres and Indians.  He had a career record of 179-158 with 2,464 strike outs and a 3.97 ERA.  His best finish in the Cy Young award voting was 5th in 1987.  He was a 4-time All Star (1987, 1991, 1992 and 1993) and a 7-time Gold Glove Award winner (1987, 1988, 1991-1995).

Thanks so much for the auto, Jackson!

Some More Signed Cards From Jackson

My friend, Jackson, sent me another envelope the other day with a couple more autos.  He had gotten hold of my 1987 Topps needs list and found two guys that he had who I needed.

I really wanted to cross Ron Davis off of my list, and I had the opportunity a couple years ago at the National, but I had brought cards for the wrong Ron Davis.  I ended up picking an extra up from someone in line, but it wasn't an 87.  Jackson came through, though, and now he is off of the list.
I also needed Alvaro Espinoza, and was set to send to him TTM, but he signed through PastPros for a fee, so this evened out.

These cards put me at 529/792, or 67% of the set completed.  That's not too bad at all, I think, and I have a bunch more on the way!

Some More Autos From Jackson T.

I got another package in today from my friend, Jackson T., who formerly lived in Arizona, but is now back in Chicago.  He had gotten a box of cards off of me last year and tried to get as many cards as he could signed for me.

He sent another batch back today.  The above 2000 Rich Aurilia turned out really well.  I don't have very many cards from 2000 signed, so this one will look good in my album.
He helped me get some random stuff out of my boxes, like the 1990 Bowman Mike Remlinger.  I had a ton of those 90 Bowmans, and it was really rewarding to let some of them go, and clear out some room for other cards.  Same goes with the 1989 Topps Jim Eppard.
Best of all, though, Jackson knocked three more cards off of my 1987 set.  The Ed Lynch was really tough, since Jackson lost the card I sent him, sent me a signed 1987 Topps Tiffany, then I had to raid my completed set to find another Lynch in time for him to get it signed.  He was able to, and the card is now in my album.

Joe Price and Mike Moore are fairly tough, as well, but Jackson got them taken care of.  He also sent me a signed Tom Hume, but I had already gotten him; he also sent me a signed 1987 Topps Giants Leaders card signed by Jim Gott, but he apparently isn't on the card.  It is Jim Barr, and I have a card out to him to be signed right now.

Thanks so much for the autos, Jackson!

More 50/50s From Jackson in AZ

My buddy, Jackson in Arizona, sent back some more of the cards that he had gotten signed for me this summer.  He has had to send the stuff back in phases, as he has most of the stuff I sent scattered about his room.
Still, some good stuff got signed, and I am really happy because of it.  Jackson hooked me up, and I was able to add a ton to my album.
I had sent to Eddie Taubensee TTM and got some cards back, but these two above weren't represented, so it was nice to get them out of my box and into the album.  The Donruss Joe Oliver might have been nice to try to get signed myself, but he had gotten really tough last year when he was a coach with Salem.  He didn't return this season, so it was a moot point.
This assortment was also nice.  I was informed later that Jim Gott was not the pitcher on the Giants leaders card, even though he signed it.  I will need to send to the proper pitcher on the card.  Someone told me, but the name escapes me.

Thanks for getting these signed, Jackson!  I really appreciate it.

Tons of 50/50 Autos From Jackson

I am currently in the process of going through all of my card boxes in order to help my good friend, Jackson, in lining up cards for Arizona.  Apparently there are a few events going on there at the end of this month, and he will be able to take a ton of cards and get them signed.  This should help me with a bunch of 1987 guys, and has also helped me clean out some room in my card boxes.

Jackson (not the one who went with me to Norfolk; another Jackson) took some cards for me last year, and finally got around to sending a bunch of them back.  He was able to get Jeremy Moore for me during Fall Instructional League a few months ago.  I was hoping Chris's TTM to Moore would come back, but I am thinking that maybe it'll come back during Spring Training.
I had Don Schulze in my TTM box since 2016, but never sent out to him.  When Jackson asked me to look for his cards, it didn't take me long.  He got everything I sent signed, and also sent me extras.
He asked me for Carmelo Martinez a long time ago.  So long ago, I forgot what I had sent him.  So, he sent me my 1987 back (I know I sent that one) and also an 89 and 91.
He tried to get an 87 Topps signed for me by Ed Lynch.  I didn't have one in my box, for some reason, so I had to rob from my completed set.  He got a card signed, but it turned out to be a 1987 Topps Tiffany.  Mine was still in his binder, so he will get that one done for me later on.  He did take care of Mark Davis and Craig Lefferts for me, though.

Thanks so much for getting these done, Jackson.  I hope you love the box I am about to send you.
