2022 National Signer - Don Money

Yes another signer that I had previously gotten TTM, but was at the National, was Don Money.  I really thought I wouldn't have any of Money's cards left, but I ended up having a lot.  Starting off with this 1982 Fleer that turned out pretty nicely.  Not the best card design in the work, and some pretty bad photography, even for the time, this set still has some charm.  I was glad to get this card signed.
I had several of Money's Topps issues, and these from 1972, 1978, 1979 and 1980 turned out great.  I already had his 1980 in my album, but I am adding this one since the other is signed in ballpoint pen.
Finally, this awesomely airbrushed 1973 Topps turned out pretty great.  His hat is clearly airbrushed, but that adds to the card, in my opinion.

Money was nice, and I was able to get all of my cards signed, even with the 4-card limit.  A guy in front of me in line was nice enough to take two from me to get done and all was well.

TTM Success - Don Money

This one took a while, but I finally got my cards in from Don Money.  The cards were signed in ballpoint pen, and turned out fairly well.
Money (b. 1947) played in the majors from 1968 to 1983 for the Phillies and Brewers.  He had 1,623 hits, 176 home runs and a .261 batting average.  He was a 4-time All Star (1974, 1976,1977 and 1978) and his best finish in the NL MVP voting was 29th, which he received 1974 and 1978.

I mailed to Money on November 19, 2016 and got the cards back on November 9, 2018, for a 720-day TAT.

Set Complete - 1970 Topps

FINALLY!  I have finally finished my 1970 Topps set after working on it for around 3 and a half years.  About time!

This set was pretty hard to complete.  The Nolan Ryan was the most expensive card in the set for me, followed by the Hank Aaron.  I did really well on the Thurman Munson RC, paying only $9.00 for it.  The completer card (final card I needed) for the set was the above Don Money, card number 645.

With this set now complete, I will now turn my attention to 1959 and 1969.  You will see those two sets added to my want list very soon.  Those sets should scan a lot better, especially the 1959s.  I'm really looking forward to adding some '59s for sure.
