Another TTM Success From Bobby Richardson

Here is a cool 1961 Topps of Bobby Richardson that I found at a recent card show. It shows Richardson during the 1960 World Series, where he was the only player on a losing team to win World Series MVP.

I had no problem paying Richardson's fee to get this card signed and into the autograph album.

I mailed to Richardson on November 25 and got the card back, along with another Mickey Mantle religious tract and a hand-written note plugging Richardson's new film on his website on December 6, for an 11-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Bobby Richardson

Another cool card that I found in my 2024 Panini blasters was this Bobby Richardson.  I pulled it and had to send it out.  I hadn't sent to Richardson in a bit, so I was happy to get it signed.

Richardson signed the card and inscribed it with 1960 WS MVP.  I didnt even ask for the inscription. That made the return even better.

I mailed to Richardson on March 3 and got the card back on March 20 for a 17-day TAT.

A Few Set Need Pickups From The National

The National wasn't all autographs.  I also knocked out a few set needs from two of the vintage sets I have been slowly working on.  I've been chipping away at the 1955 Bowman and 1962 Topps sets.  I didn't get any 1964 or 1967 Topps while I was there, mainly because it was so hard to get into any of the tables.
Still, I added around 10 cards, each to the 1955 Bowman and 1962 Topps sets.

I didn't add any huge stars to the sets, but there were a bunch of Yankees in thr 1962 pile like the above Elston Howard, a Bobby Richardson, a Whitey Ford in action, etc.

I have updated my needs list, so they are finally accurate, for now.

Another TTM Success From Bobby Richardson

Another TTM success has come in from former Yankee, Bobby Richardson.  This 1958 Topps is a card that I found at the Chantilly show and wanted to get signed.  At 87 years old, Richardson still signs, and has a great signature.

I mailed to Richardson on October 25 and got the card back on November 21, for a 27-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Bobby Richardson

I used another of the 2010 Topps Franchise History cards to get an autograph of a historical player of whom I had no remaining cards.  Bobby Richardson has a really great signature, and I thought it would look cool on this card, and it does.

I mailed to Richardson on May 6 and got the card back on May 16, for a 10-day TAT.

TTM Success - Bobby Richardson

I got a TTM success from a guy I should have sent a ball to back when I was sending out baseballs.  Bobby Richardson has a really nice signature as you can see.  I was able to get him on a 1964 Topps for the Topps Autograph Project and, luckily, I found another card of his that I was able to send out.
This is a 1997-98 Fleer Million Dollar Moments card that I was able to get signed as well.  Richardson's signature looks really great on this card, maybe even better than the 1964.

Richardson (b. 1935) played in the majors from 1955 to 1966 for the Yankees.  He had 1,432 hits, 34 home runs and a .266 career average.  He was an All Star 7 times and a Gold Glove winner 5 times.  His best season was 1962 when he finished second in the AL MVP voting after collecting 209 hits, 8 home runs and a .302 batting average.  He was also the only player to win a World Series MVP Award (1960) for a losing team.

I mailed to Richardson on March 11 and got the cards back on April 18 for a 38-day TAT.
