TTM Success - Omir Santos

Here are some cool cards from 2009-2010 that I got signed TTM by Omir Santos.  I was especially glad that I was able to get the above 2009 Topps Unique signed.  I opened a bunch of these, but didn't really pull anything glorious.  Having a signed card from that set in my autograph album is nice, however.  This card is numbered 469/1199.
I also got a 2010 Topps Heritage and a 2010 Topps signed by Santos.  Both look really nice.

Santos (b. 1981) played in the majors in 2008 and 2009 and 2011 to 2013 for the Orioles, Mets, Tigers and Indians.  He had 80 hits, 7 home runs and a .248 batting average.

I mailed to Santos on January 23 and got the cards back on February 2, for a 10-day TAT.

Instagram Deal With Evan - 2009 Topps Unique Orioles Triple Relic

The crease at the bottom of the card notwithstanding, is this not an awesome card?  I had no idea it existed until I saw it posted on Instagram.  The page was a kid named Evan, who's screen name is "alldaycards".  I bought the card off of Evan for $8 shipped and it came well packaged in a bubble mailer.  So, the crease at the bottom was definitely not Evan's fault.

The card would look amazing if it was triple signed as well.  I'm sure they exist.  I'll have to go back and look at some and see what I can find.

This card will go nicely into my Roberts PC that had been stashed away, since no new cards would be issued for him.

I appreciate the deal, Evan, and I hope we can make more in the future!

Ebay Pickup - 2009 Topps Unique Nolan Reimold Gold Parallel

Probably a forgotten set from the past, I had my fill of Topps Unique quickly after it first came out and judging by how it hasn't popped up again, it looks like most of the consumers did as well.  That being said, the set was ok.  There were a few decent Orioles RCs at the time, namely Nolan Reimold and Koji Uehara.  I hod completely forgotten that there were gold parallels in the set until I saw this Nolan Reimold parallel on Ebay for $1.25, buy it now.

So, I picked up the card for my Nolan PC, I mean, numbered to 99 and at that price (with free shipping), I couldn't go wrong.  So, I now have the gold parallel. I don't know if there are any lower numbered parallels, so I guess I need to take a look and see.  The card scanned pretty nicely as well, as you can see.  I wonder if Topps will ever try again with Unique.  I think the premise was the opportunity to get good hits, like buttons and laundry tags or something like that.  I never got one, that's for sure.
