TTM Success - John Wehner

Some nice early 90s cards were added to the autograph album when I got this TTM success back from John Wehner.  I had a bunch of his cards, so there were several that I could choose from to send out.  This 1993 Fleer Ultra turned out great.  I like this design, and it looks great in the album .
I also got a 1992 Topps, 1993 Topps, 1993 Fleer and a 1996 Fleer signed.

Wehner (b. 1967) played in the majors from 1991 to 2001 for the  Pirates and Marlins.  He had 200 hits, 4 home runs and a .249 batting average.  He was part of the 1997 World Series Champion Marlins, but did not play in the series.

I mailed to Wehner on November 3 and got the cards back on November 20, for a 17-day TAT.

TTM Success - John Kiely

Here are some mid-90s cards that I got back signed TTM from John Kiely.  The above 1993 Fleer Ultra turned out great.  This is a really underrated set; I like the "marble" at the bottom of the card.  The problem with these, like most 90s cards, is the over gloss.  These tens to stick together, thankfully, I got a batch of 93 Ultras that were in really good shape.  A few of them should be added to the album soon.
I also got a 1993 Fleer and a 1993 Topps signed by Kiely.  These also turned out nicely.

Kiely (b. 1964) played in the majors from 1991 to 1993 for the Tigers.  He had a record of 4-5 with 24 strike outs and a 4.17 ERA.

I mailed to Kiely on November 8 and got the cards back on November 17, for a 9-day TAT.

2022 National Free Signer - Pat Listach

The common theme among the free signers at this year's National was that I had gotten most of them before, either TTM or at past Nationals.  Pat Listach was someone I got early on TTM.  I didn't have very many of his cards left, but was lucky enough to find a couple prior to the National, like the above 1994 Stadium Club.  I have been complimented on the card already.  This is kind of a forgotten set, in my opinion, but it still a pretty cool design.  I was glad I found this one and can get it in my album.
The 1993 Ultra was another card that I found on my own, and it turned out great.  This is also a great design and will look good in the album.  The 1992 Stadium Club was found at the show itself, since I had extra vouchers for Listach but not enough cards.
Finally, Michael had found this 1993 Upper Deck but didn't want to start a new project by trying for the two Hall of Famers on the card (Molitor and Yount).  I may take it on, or I may just leave this in the album.  We'll have to see.

Listach was pretty nice.  We blew in and out of his line, which was good, since I had so many people I was seeing.

TTM Success - Bryan Hickerson

The 1995 Fleer set gets a lot of scorn from collectors because it looks like it was designed by someone having a drug induced nightmare.  Me, I enjoy the weirdness of the set, and am always happy when I can get a card from said set signed.  This TTM success from Bryan Hickerson afforded me the opportunity.
There were a bunch of other cards I was able to get signed.  He signed a 1992 Topps, 1993 Topps, 1993 Fleer Ultra and a 1992 Upper Deck.
This 1993 Fleer also turned out well.  I almost didn't send it, but figured I should go ahead and get it out of my box.

Hickerson (b. 1963) played in the majors from 1991 to 1995 for the Giants, Cubs and Rockies.  He had a career record of 21-21 with 279 strike outs and a 4.72 ERA.

I mailed to Hickerson on December 4 and got the cards back on March 19 for a 105-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Dave Fleming

I had gotten Dave Fleming TTM a few years ago, but I found a bunch more of his cards in various boxes, so I sent to him again.  The cards are spectacular or anything, just random stuff that I had and wanted to move into my albums.

This was pretty much a card dump; get some stuff out of the way so I could clear room in the boxes for other stuff.

I mailed to Fleming on July 20 and got the cards back on August 1, for a 12-day TAT.

TTM Success - Bob Zupcic

I added a few mid-90s cards to my album with this success from Bob Zupcic.  This 1993 Fleer Ultra turned out well, as these cards tend to do.  The cards all bubbled up, but I'm still ok with his they turned out.
I added two Topps cards, as well.  I still don't have many extra 1994s, so getting this one in was nice.  I also haven't completed my 1995 set, yet, so I really need to get on that sometime soon.  I just haven't had time to shop for the few missing cards I have left.

Zupcic (b. 1966) played in the majors from 1991 to 1994 for the Red Sox and White Sox.  He had 199 hits, 7 home runs and a .250 batting average.

I mailed to Zupcic on January 2 and got the cards back on September 6, for a 247-day TAT.

TTM Success - Pat Mahomes

Sometimes, when I send a TTM, the cards I send have some kind of a story behind them.  Maybe they came in a box that my mom gave me, or I found them in a box from my childhood collection, whatever the case may be.  This success from Pat Mahomes had a story when the cards came back to me.
I wondered why the back of my return envelope was stained brown when it came in, and when I opened it up, I discovered that some of my cards were stuck together.  It appeared as if after Mahomes signed my cards, he spilled his morning coffee on the envelope.
It caused the card at the top of the page to stick to the left 1993 Ultra. I tried in vain to separate them.  The back of the card at the top is damaged somewhat, but the Ultra on the left really took a hit.

All of that being said, I'm not too upset.  The cards will still go in my album.  The better of the two 1993 Ultra will likely be set aside with my other duplicate autos, and the damaged one will take its place with my other TTMs.

Mahomes (b. 1970) played in the majors from 1992 to 1997 and 1999 to 2003 for the Twins, Red Sox, Mets, Rangers, Cubs and Pirates.  He had a career record of 42-39 with 452 strike outs and an ERA of 5.47.

I mailed to Mahomes on November 2 and got the cards and some of his coffee back on January 9, for a 68-day TAT.
