Ray Narleski (b. 1928) played in the majors from 1954 to 1959 for the Indians and Tigers. He had a career record of 43-33, 454 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.60. He was an All Star in 1955 and 1958. He was an overpowering pitcher with a problem - he played on a team that already had a rotation of Bob Feller, Bob Lemon, Early Wynn and Mike Garcia. Narleski led the AL in saves in 1955 (with 19).
