Another TTM Success From Jesse Orosco

Several passes through my boxes allowed me to find a handful of Jesse Orosco cards to send to him TTM for a second time.  I got his 1980 Topps Mets Future Stars taken care of.  I know getting Mike Scott is going to be tough.  I haven't looked Dan Norman up at all yet.
I'm getting close to 100 signed 1984 Topps; this one helped me push that number higher.  I also got a 1996 Fleer and a 2000 Topps signed so I'd have some Orioles cards represented in the album.

I mailed to Orosco on March 18 and got the cards back on April 8, for a 21-day TAT.  I paid his fee of $5.00/card.

TTM Success - Jesse Orosco

I saw that Jesse Orosco was signing TTM, so I quickly got a few cards together and sent them out.  I had already gotten him for my 1987 Topps set, thanks to my friend, Gerard.  So, I went with the first few that I found.

I don't have many 1985 Donruss to begin with, and even fewer in my autograph album, so it was an easy decision to send this one.
The Topps box at the top of my stack of boxes at the time I was looking for Orosco stuff was my box with 1990-1992, so these two were the ones I sent.  Both of them turned out great, as well.

Orocso (b. 1957) is one of those rare baseball players who's career stretched across 4 different decades.  He played in the majors in 1979 and from 1981 to 2003 for the Mets, Dodgers, Indians, Brewers, Orioles, Cardinals, Padres, Yankees and Twins.  He had a career record of 87-80 with 1,179 strike outs and a 3.16 ERA.  His 1,252 games pitched is a MLB record.

Orosco was an All Star in 1983 and 1984 and had his best (and only) Cy Young (3rd) and MVP (17th) finishes in 1983.  He won the World Series with the Mets in 1986, and was on the Dodgers World Series roster when they won in 1988, but did not get into a World Series game.  He appeared on the 2009 Hall of Fame ballot, but received only 0.2% of the vote.

I mailed to Orosco on October 23 and got the cards back on November 2, for a 10-day TAT.  I paid a fee of $10.00.

Gerard With Some Nice Autos

I got a nice package in the other day from my good friend, Gerard.  In it, he included this signed 1987 Topps Jesse Orosco for my 1987 set.  I missed out on Orosco when he did a private signing a few months ago, but Gerard came through in the clutch and picked this MLB authenticated one up for me.
He also got a couple Sam Horn cards signed for me when Horn was doing a signing.  It was reallt nice of Gerard to hook me up like this!  Thanks so much!
