Charlie Silvera (b. 1924) played in the majors from 1948 to 1957 for the Yankees and Cubs. He retired with 136 hits, 1 home run and a .282 batting average. He was a membe rof the World Series Champion Yankees in 1949-1953 and 1956, however, he only appeared in the 1949 World Series (one game, 2 at bats, with no hits).
