Reno Bertoia (b. 1935) played in the majors from 1953 to 1962 for the Tigers, Senators/Twins and A's. He broke into the majors for a few games in 1953 as an 18-year old. He retired at the age of 27 and had 425 hits, 27 home runs and a .244 batting average.
