TTM Success - Shaver Hansen

Here is a nice 2010 Topps Pro Debut that came back signed TTM by Shaver Hansen.  He signed the card in ballpoint pen, but I'm still glad it came in.

Hansen (b. 1987) was a 6th round pick by the Mariners in the 2009 June Amateur Draft out of Baylor.  He Mariners system from 2009 to 2011, reaching High A.  He had 165 hits, 9 home runs and a .232 batting average.

I mailed to Hansen on June 20 and got the card back on July 15 for a 25-day TAT.

TTM Success - Eddie Hill

One of my all-time favorite drag racers signed several cards TTM for me recently.  Eddie Hill is one of the most popular former drag racers around.  I was glad to find an album of drag racing cards that Mom found (probably at Goodwill) that had a bunch of Hill's cards in it.  Even better, he inscribed the above card "Thanks Boss".  He would always get out of his car and thank God before giving an interview.  I always liked that about him.
I don't recall ever meeting him in person.  Maybe I did years ago, but I doubt it.  I wish I had.
Hill even included a signed business cards of his own, which was really cool.

Hill (b. 1936) drag raced (on land) from 1955 to 1966 and 1985 to 1999.  He drag raced boats from 1974 to 1985 despite not being able to swim.  He held national records on land and in the water, once holding  both the land and water speed records simultaneously in 1987.  He had gotten back into drag racing after a boat accident in 1985 that tore his Texas A&M ring off of his finger, broke several bones and cause eye injuries.  He purchased Dan Pastorini's top fuel operation and salvaged his boat engine from the bottom of the lake.

In April of 1988, he ran the first sub-5 second run in a Top Fuel car at 4.990 seconds.  Hill would win 13 NHRA national events, and won the 1993 NHRA Top Fuel Championship.  He was voted #14 on NHRA's top 50 drivers from 1950-2000.  He was elected to the Drag Racing Hall of Fame in 1978.

I mailed to Hill on June 23 and got the cards back on July 12 for a 19-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Allen Watson

My passes through boxes afforded me the opportunity to pull a few more cards to send TTM to Allen Watson.  I had gotten him TTM back in 2023.  The above 1993 Bowman rainbow foil parallel was. Nice card to send and it turned out nicely.
I also sent this 1995 Topps Cyberstats.  These cards always look cool when signed.
Finally, I sent a 1992 Stadium Club, 1995 Fleer Ultra, 1996 Stadium Club and a 1997 Score.

I mailed to Watson on January 29 and got the cards back on July 10 for a 162-day TAT.

TTM Success - Braxton Davidson

A TTM success came in earlier this summer from a guy that I could have actually gotten later in High Point.  I didn't know it at the time, so I don't regret sending to Braxton Davidson TTM.  It just could have run up my IP numbers this season by 2.
He signed my 2014 Bowman Draft and my 2015 Topps Heritage Minors.  His signature sure is something.

Davidson (b. 1996) was a first round (32nd overall) draft pick by the Braves in the 2014 June Amateur Draft out of TC Roberson High School in Asheville.  He played in the Nrabes system from 2014 to 2018, reaching High A.  He had 374 hits, 47 home runs and a .213 batting average.  Since 2020, Davidson had played at several levels of the independent leagues, including a few Frontier League teams, and also Gastonia and High Point.

I mailed to Davidson on March 24 and got the cards back on July 5 for a 103-day TAT.

TTM Success - Evan Steele

Evan Steele was someone I had pulled to try to get to sign some cards IP back a few years ago.  He never came through Kinston, so I had to wait to try him TTM.  I saw recently that he was signing.  I had these two cards pulled, so I sent them out.  He signed the above 2018 Topps Heritage Minors and the below 2019 Bowman Holiday.
Steele (b. 1996) was a 2nd round pick by the Royals in the 2017 June Amateur Draft out of Chipola College in Florida.  He played in the Royals system in 2017 and 2019.

He had a record of 4-5 with 72 strike outs and a 2.84 ERA.

I mailed to Steele on May 8 and got the cards back on July 5 for a 58-day TAT.

Another TTM Success From Jack McDowell

When I heard that (with a donation) Jack McDowell was sending signed CDs of his music following TTM requests, I dug out a couple cards and sent to him.  I had this freshly pack-pulled 1992 Triple Play that I sent along.  I got the pack out of a bargain box at the Winston-Salem card shop.
McDowell sent the above 1998 Pacific, 1993 O Pee Chee and 1992 Score.

I'd like to say that I enjoyed McDowell's music, but I don't have a working CD player at the moment. My laptop no longer had a CD drive, and the player I had at the office crapped out.  I use Spotify exclusively now and have had no need for a CD player.  I'll get around to listening to them at some point.  I don't want to buy a player and I don't have room to store one anyway.

I mailed to McDowell on June 25 and got the cards, along with two signed CDs on July 5 for a 10-day TAT.  I paid his fee of $10.00.

TTM Success - Nick Hundley

Another former Oriole was added to the autograph album when I got this TTM success back from Nick Hundley.  I saw that he was signing (after I tried and failed to get him TTM in the past), so I sent off a couple cards.  The above 2014 Topps Update was the key card I wanted back.  I'm glad it did come back, because it is a great shot.
I also got this 2017 Topps back.  Both cards were inscribed with Bible verses.

Hundley (b. 1983) played in the majors from 2008 to 2019 for the Padres, Orioles, Rockies, Giants and A's.  He had 766 hits, 93 home runs and a .247 batting average.

I mailed to Hundley on March 26 and got the cards back on June 16 for an 82-day TAT.
