Next up is one of the paid signers I signed up for at this year's National. When I saw Tony Perez on the list, I knew I wanted to sign up for him. I had this 2004 Topps Tribute that I wanted to get signed, so that's was the card I brought with me to the show.
Perez was really cool when we met him. He smiled the whole time and reached his hand out when he was done signing. I shook hands with Hall of Famer, Tony Perez. What a nice guy.
I always enjoy reading these. When you're in line for autographs at The National, do you strike up conversations with those in line around you about the items that are being signed? You put a lot of work into sharing your autographs online and wonder if that happens in person at big shows like this. Would be interesting to hear from multiple collectors why specific cards are chosen.
ReplyDeleteCool to see Perez signed for collectors at The National. I know I have a sticker autograph of his for my Expos PC, but probably should go out and grab an on-card auto at some point. If I was ever gonna get an in-person auto, I'd probably have him sign his 86T card... and then go out and try to get Eric Davis to sign it too.
