The boxes from Conrad continue to produce TTM successes, this time from Julian Javier. The above 1963 Topps came from my own vintage box, but the 1964 below from Conrad started the whole thing. I do enjoy 1963 Topps. I don't have a whole lot of them, but I was glad I found this one to send along with the 64.
The 1964 Topps also turned out nicely. Javier's signature isn't very visible on the card in the scan due to his signing in ballpoint pen, but it is still there.
Javier (b. 1936) played in the majors from 1960 to 1972 for the Cardinals and Reds. He had 1,469 hits, 78 home runs and a .257 batting average. He was an All Star in 1963 and 1968. He finished 9th in the NL MVP race in 1967. He won the World Series in 1964 and 1967.
I mailed to Javier on October 17, 2022, and got the cards back on July 8, 2023, for a 264-day TAT.
