Armas (b. 1953) played in the majors from 1976 to 1989 for the Pirates, A's, Red Sox and Angels. He had 1,302 hits, 251 home runs and a .252 batting average. He led the league in home runs in 1981 (22) and 1984 (43). His best MVP finish was 4th, 1981 (AL). He was an All Star in 1981 and 1984 and Silver Slugger Award winner (1984).
I mailed to the signing on October 5 and got the card back on January 16, for a 103-day TAT.
That 1987 image is ingrained in my mind for Tony. Nice signature as well!
