This TTM success from Bill Stein turned out really well. I always enjoy 1981 Topps, and the colors on this one are really cool. The autograph in blue really blends well with the card. The old Mariners logo looks really cool, as well.
I also got his autograph on a 1978 and 1980 Topps. Both turned out well, but the 81 is the best of the bunch.
Stein (b. 1947) played in the majors from 1972 to 1985 for the Cardinals, White Sox, Mariners and Rangers. He had 751 hits, 44 home runs and a .267 batting average. He was a fourth round pick by the Cardinals in the 1969 June Amateur draft out of Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
I mailed to Stein on May 31 and got the cards back on June 8, for an 8-day TAT.
