FINALLY! I have finally finished my 1970 Topps set after working on it for around 3 and a half years. About time!
This set was pretty hard to complete. The Nolan Ryan was the most expensive card in the set for me, followed by the Hank Aaron. I did really well on the Thurman Munson RC, paying only $9.00 for it. The completer card (final card I needed) for the set was the above Don Money, card number 645.
With this set now complete, I will now turn my attention to 1959 and 1969. You will see those two sets added to my want list very soon. Those sets should scan a lot better, especially the 1959s. I'm really looking forward to adding some '59s for sure.
Congrats on a great achievement, man!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!
ReplyDeleteCongrats. You don't hear a lot about people completing 1970 Topps. It's kind of the great unknown set of the '70s for me. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on achieving a hobby goal. Depending on the grade you're looking for I can probably help you out on the '59s. I'm now slowly (verrry slowly) upgrading that set. It's a fun set to collect for sure.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! One of these days I'd like to work on this set, as it's for the year I was born.
ReplyDeleteTremendous, William!
ReplyDeleteTwo more great ones to move on to -how did you pick them and do you always chase after two at a time?
I choose which to do next based on how many cards I have to start with. I could have done 1972 but I thought I had more 1969s than 1972s right now, so I chose 1969. I meant to start 1959 when I finished 1955, but didn't for whatever reason. I don't do two at a time really, it is usually much more than that. I have 1948 Bowman, 2010 Allen and Ginter, 1959 Topps, 1969 Topps, 1971 Topps and 1997 Topps going on right now. Some will get finished quicker than others.
