Johnny Schmitz (b. 1920) played in the majors from 1941 to 1942 and 1946 to 1956 for the Cubs, Dodgers, Yankees, Reds, Senators, Red Sox and Orioles. He retired with a record of 93-114, 746 strikeouts and an ERA of 3.55. He was an All Star in 1946 and 1948.
